Everything I have is either mismatched or too thick sounding.

I've got a bunch of good sounding acc. drum samples sets at The Auditorium :

And if you want more, go to Akai (acc. and electr.): http://www.akaipro.com/arc_kotw.html

Tell me if you still want more... .. .

Cheers.

Believe it or not the cymbals in the set are Sabian sonic matched ;)

The hat samples are at various degrees of openness

I guess the reason is different makes put together to create sets make them unmatched either by metal type, hammer types etc. Matched symbals tend to follow a complimentary tuning to one another - and guaranteed to by the manufacture due to their manufacturing processes - you can buy sets where the cymbals are matched by sabian.

Well, you learn many things...as to their usefulness, or how many naughty words are used is another matter... :D

Oh nice samples, btw, samplestream. Is that supposed to be a very light-sounding kit? Does it get any heavier than that?

Thank you dbuffy, well its from the RM4 kits I made with the samples, the demos are just quick mp3's as an indicator to some of the sounds rather that its sonic potential - I used very low velocities in the demos - and no - not one - external effect, so that the sounds can be better auditioned.

Kit 3 and Kit 4 (the ones with the SuperSubs in), the ones with the remo shelled toms who have not one ring in them, I can assure you have the potential to knock the ceilings down in the right hands  - I must admit I am tempted to post a track demoing it in that light. :D - but that will be a bit of fun for me to do this Saturday :D
