typical of ACID. sounds like its still an unstable piece of crap. I have never had a program crap out on me as much as acid. garbage.arke wrote:

There seems to be some misunderstanding here. Multiple VSTs can be routed to a single bus, no need for fx on each insert if not required. The resulant mix can be sent to another bus. Normal Aux, Sub Groups and mixes are no problem.

I just love the people who installed it, ran it for five minutes then declared it to be a piece of crap
Stick to Garageband/ejay and you'll be fine my dears

Yes, but what if I want to use sends to aux busses? I don't want 100% of each sound in the bus going through the same effect. If I could send to a bus like you can in the tracks, I can have a dry signal go through, plus say another 30% going through to a bus with a reverb on it or something. I do things like put distortions, phasers and junk like that on reverbs and delays all the time. It is important that the wet effects be seperate from the dry from the instrument - I want to distort or phase the reverb and delay trails, not the main instrument too. Seems like you can't do this with vsti's. Unless I bounce to track every time and use track sends to do it.munchkin wrote:You can route a synth to a buss so any number of synths can use the same buss effect.sgx wrote:Damn. What are you supposed to do? Put a reverb on every soft synth you have in there? That's a huge oversight. I thought for sure they would improve upon that from Acid 5
LAME. I had my finger over the order button, but now I don't know.

Try Senderella plugin, it's free.

cheers munchkin, ordered, downloaded, looking forward to finishing work nowmunchkin wrote:Go to Sony's ACID Forum and there's a thread with a link in it here.CypherOne wrote:Given that Sony haven't yet emailed the upgrade link from Pro 5 then is there any other way to get the decent price (esp. given I'm in the UK)??
I paid $173 (£99 - inclusive of VAT) for the downloadable upgrade and the shipping of the content to the UK. Not as cheap as US retail prices but cheap enough IMO. I tried Soundcontrol, Turnkey and Sony Media Shop in central London and none of them have it in stock.
If you want to wait for a better UK deal remember that the demo is fully functional for 30 days so there's no hurry to buy it.

it's kompakt, not kontakt...coldmachine wrote:Kontact is in the boxed version or as a free disk for the d/l. Its just down to size, along with the content.

i won't give anything more than 3 minutes worth of demoing when it's glitching on track resize with only one track loaded with a 2 bar audio clip.Reverse Engineer wrote:I just love the people who installed it, ran it for five minutes then declared it to be a piece of crapStick to Garageband/ejay and you'll be fine my dears

This release seems to be shaping up much, much better than 4 or 5. I'm getting tempted to run the demo

It was a PITA scanning Vstis 1st time around, bombing out, hangs, etc.
I moved my Vsti folder elsewhere so it was blank and 6 started ok,then did the scan from in Acid.
I must say though...it's a great upgrade all round, that new engine seems silky smooth and noticeably more tighter and efficient even on my single chip machine and most of the other stuff is a welcome addition.
Been hammering away for hours with no real problems otherwise.
