also forgot - a great track that people sample and it always sounds cool (believe it or not)- Vicky Sue Robinson - Turn That Beat Around
There's this one loop from a breakdown section that's in this ghostface killah track (Daytona 500) - sounds great. that same loop is also used in an armand van helden track from "Enter the Meat Market". There are some other cool loops that you could sample and screw around with in that track as well...
but seriously, for deep house, shoudln't you be sampling shit like Chick Corea/Return to Forever or Herbie Hancock's MWandishi albums or Miles' In a Silent Way/Filles de Killimanjaro or the Tony Williams solo albums (after "Spring") and shit like that?
I mean, not cuttin up deep house or anything but nowadays, all i lsten to is mid-to-late 60s "jazz" and fusion and when I hear deep house tracks, it just seems like combined four bar loops with a four on the floor beat. Don't get me wrong though, when I'm in a club, I love hearing that stuff.
