Oops, I forgot! Yes, PS-1 is the most underrated synth there is, apart from the other one I've probably forgotten, too :) :P

PS-1 is not in my list as I've only been playing with it for a couple of days. But it's creeping there

I suppose I should remove Rhino as it's indeed over the magic $100 ceiling. So I'm putting Kubik instead.

Regarding Wusik, the Wusik big package is under $100 and you already get a large amount of stuff, even if you can spend more.

I like these lists, I always discover a plug I didn't know about, or it reminds me about one I had promised myself to buy. :hihi:

I'll only list ones that I own or the list would get too long.
DashSignature Eve 2
GForce impOSCar
GForce Oddity
GForce M-Tron
Linplug Alpha

Kubik V2
FabFilter 1 ( CM edition)
Umm I got Reaktor Session for under $100 (thanks Ttoz)
Limelite (CM edition)
Minogue Luxus , Arppe 2600Va , Chimera , Superwave P8 , Ugo's Motion , Texture & String Theory , Odo's SeeqOne and Purple2 all free. :D
Ditto Dash Signatures Da'Hornet (CM edition).
That's a great bunch on a budget and then some.
Is the CM edition of LIMELIGHT still available somewhere? Is it still part of their library? (I don't see it on the latest discs...)

thanks

Exciton 2 certainly should be looked at. Excellent bit of VSTi wonders. One of the most underrated synths out there IMHO.

Toxic just rocks in general.
Vanguard is also pretty cool.
Wusik, for its price for Version 1, is hard to shake a stick at. If you don't mind digging into it, it's pretty cool.
impOSCar is awesome. The filter is to die for.

PS-1? No one ever talks about it? Tried the demo, wasn't interested in it. Nothing really set it apart from the above list. Did I miss something?

Yes. You missed tons of things. :) I suppose it's a matter of taste...but it's definitely got its own flavor. The built oscillators are very thick, and heavy (they're taken from the daAlpha2k engine...the PS-1 is daALpha2k on major steroids, with new filters :) ) Plus, the loading of wave files as oscillators, and how it colors the samples when playing them back, makes for endless sound design possibilities....plus, the banks built into the demo only represent a small percentage of the presets it comes with...well over a thousand. Honsetly, I've never had a customer that wasn't satisfied, and even thrilled with the sound and ease of use.

Peace

That might explain it for me, I've never really liked daAlpha2k either.

Trust me...it's not the daAlpha2k...it's just based on it.

It is really nice to see Exciton 2 get mentioned. Absolutley fantastic synth. Very very under-rated.

So my top 5 (under 100)in alphabetical order

Exciton 2
PS-1 another under-rated synth.
Sonic Charge MicroTonic
Toxic III
Wusik 1

Post

MicroTonic
ImpOSCar
Wusik
Vanguard
Rhino (I bought it when it was under $100 and I am listing it. :P )
All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

Since I own the other four, I went and took a look at Exciton2, which I'd never heard of. :-o Looks cool, I'm trying the demo soon.
