ahem, and i quote the reverb blurb:

"Intended to recreate the warm qualities of vintage-style digital reverbs from the 80', the BlueVerb is nothing short of amazing."

What, do they mean lexicon with the blue motiv?

they have stated their Limiting Amplifier LM-662 is a fairchild 670. Wonder how it compares to the UAD..

Post

They were pretty disappointing IMHO. Typical nomad factory. Pretty GUI, not much else, though I was one of the few who actually liked the rather unique sound of the reverb (it's far from being a high-end 80's reverb).

Cheers!

Was that a cozy rock you were hiding under, musicL? Kidding.

I agree with B, totally unexciting plugins, especially when you consider the price and the Pace/iLok dongle. A plugin has to knock my socks off to require another lost USB slot, and all of these plugins are easily topped by KVR favourites, IMHO. Honestly, I don't know how these guys stay in business...the I-don't-care-what-anything-costs crowd, perhaps?

MC Hammer who? ;)

I never keep a check of the nomad page so thought i missed out on something ...though by the sounds of it, i didn't miss out on much! Got all excited when i saw the word '80's reverb' and 'fairchild' for a second.

Yes, i'm an AA/Audiodamage/Voxengo man and the rest meself. Don't go by name, listen to the sound..it's what everybody else hears at the end of the day when you send your cd's out, not the name list of plugs used :)

Yeah, absolutely. But I think when a company releases consistently dissapointing and confusing products, well, you get the message after awhile. Those new plugins aren't bad, but they just fail to excite. But by all means try the demos, I could be totally missing something.

Speaking of Audio Damage and 80's reverb, looks like they're releasing a custom 80s-inspired reverb at the end of the month, for $39...I'd keep me eyes peeled.

Somehow, I don't get the words "warm", "digital" and "80s" to mesh... :P
