I do not really want to release commercial version of Overtone GEQ with such 'freq tuning' feature - mainly because I do not see how this is much different from parametric EQ.oblagon wrote:How about a commercial veriosn of Geq then ? I like the ease of use of this eq and having one slider to shift freaquency of all the bands would keep the ease of use and extand the functionality with finer tuning and ability to easily do filter sweeps.

This all sounds very unfortunate... There is no reason for 'component is missing' error as far as I know (VST spec does not hook to any Windows resources like GUIDs), nor Overtone GEQ requires any dongle.inverseroom wrote:Hey Aleksey...I dunno if these bugs have been reported yet...but I've had a couple of problems with this EQ in Acid 6.0. After one use, upon reloading projects, the GUI freezes up and won't redraw...the fader movements still register though, and are redrawn if you close and re-open. At least they did for a couple of days, until today when I tried to open up my projects and the GEQ won't load at all. "A component is missing" it says, or something like that...and suggests that maybe the missing component is a dongle!
Really looking forward to the new version...I am hopelessly hooked on this thing...
Too bad my trial period of Acid 6.0 has ended and I have no hope left to track down this bug.
Maybe the next update to Acid will fix these problems - I have collected too many evidences of errorneous host behavior that was fixed with the next host version update.
I'll be watching for further problem reports with Overtone GEQ with the hope to find what things we could implement in a wrong way in Overtone GEQ.

I'm not experiencing those problems here (Acid pro 6.0a).

OK, that's good news...I'm just using the version of Acid straight off the install cd. I think it's up to 6.0b now, I'll d/l. Funny, I was looking for temporary substitutions for GEQ, and realized I couldn't load Pushtec or the new posihfopit either! These are the only three VST's I'm having trouble with. It must be Acid's problem.

I updated acid...now posihfopit and Pushtec work, but GEQ still suffers the same bugs. It's the only one of my zillion VST's that doesn't work, Aleksey! Bojo software isn't having a problem, though, so I dunno. I'll wait for the GEQ update and see how that works.
Perhaps I should buy one of your commercial EQ's meanwhile!

I've just been experimenting with GEQ in Acid, and I have encountered some problems too. This is how I recreate it:inverseroom wrote:Bojo software isn't having a problem, though,....
1. Start Acid
2. Load an existing project using GEQ.
3. Start new project
4. Load the existing project using GEQ again.
Error window appears:
"An issue has happened when executing Voxengo application"
At the bottom of the window it says:
CAudioWrapperVST-entry-NoApp
./Audio/CAudioWrapperVST.cpp(102)
After this error has appeared I can't load GEQ until Acid has been restarted.
Hope this is helpful Aleksey.

YES! That's it exactly. In fact, even restarting Acid stopped working for me after a few times.Bojo Software wrote:I've just been experimenting with GEQ in Acid, and I have encountered some problems too. This is how I recreate it:inverseroom wrote:Bojo software isn't having a problem, though,....

I suspect this is an Acid 6.0 thing...all in all though I can't believe how unbuggy this version is, considering.
