ok so i think i got all of the little 'supporting' graphics done now. though i wouldn't bet my life on it. always at the 99% point i find some unfinished detail that requires me to go back in to another mindset to get it done.

anyway, that's all i can do today. next i have to isolate the backgrounds for main, midi, and osc1 edit, osc2 edit, lfo1 edit, lfo2 edit, then isolate and animate the controls which i've identified previously (because oatmeal doesn't support any transparency if a control is on a different background color it will need an entirely separate animation - so fun fun).

though i'd say it's about 60% done now, the graphics are done, isolation/slice/animate then editing the oms text skin definition (not looking forward to that step) -- every single control and menu has an X|Y position and a width and height that must be implemented, etc, etc.

ok i'm just droning on like a big baby now :)

will try to get more done tommorow, i'm not midiworks.

also would anyone object if i made the irregular type for chorus the camel audio camel? :) i was thinking about that, and thought it would be a nice way to pay homage to a great company.

now i have to do the OMS skin file, and specify the parameters and dimensions and positions and all that. i got up early to finish the graphic part. this is the last part, and may take a while to get it to work right.

what a joy this is to skin. wow. i'm seriously impressed with fuzpils' engine. it's dead easy to understand and it refreshes itself when i close/reopen the window and doesn't acquire an exclusive lock on any of the resources it uses.

that makes it hella easy to do adjustments.

to all devs watching, please implement the same featureset for your skin engine! this is saving me tons of time.

man is it cool doing wave editing at this size! i setup the spectral/harmonic/phase thing to fit all in the window at once. it's freaking awesome! :D

laputa; is it additive synthesis to edit like this? it looks alot like cameleon5k in this mode. i guess the math combining the different waves would determine the synthesis type? i'm just building the waveforms with harmonics and phase relationships?

it's fascinating. it really helps to have those mouse status tips too, makes it faster and we dont have to remember, just look up :)

it's hip as hell too that we can change the LFO settings while keeping the LFO window editor OPEN.

ok i shutup with the teasing now... I try to finish today! this is easier than i thought. so far so good.
