Either they're all stoned beyond reason or they're all stoned beyond reason. Sounds like incoherent riffing to me. Is it just me or am I missing something very deep and over my head?rp314 wrote:Here's a little Last Exit, featuring the late Sonny Sharrock, to wake up the forum a bit.![]()

there is lots of stuff i really hate but i assume it's just not for me...in chicago there was a pretty good no wave/improv/f**ked up jazz scene in the 90's, and i can asssure you: those people could really play the f**k out of their instruments...no one was stoned either, they were very serious actually...and i really dig great players doing great improv...so i have to say it's just you...

Change the word "advanced" to "shite" and I'm with you 100%...markdeaton wrote:It's just a bit too advanced for me to comprehend and enjoy.
My hat's off to those who can tolerate that sort of thing... it triggers my ADHD like a fire alarm in Hell...

60s bossa nova rules. It's from a CD called Cinecocktail. The whole compilation is good.Chuck E. Jesus wrote:

For the many who enjoyed the "Last Exit" clip here's another delightful link. This is Anthony Braxton providing a bit of context by doing his version of John Coltrane's "Impressions" with Chick Corea on piano and friends.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
