What's right?

Actually, in terms of traditions, there should probably be both an Eastern European Folk and an African Folk tradition up there, but I don't have time for 6 circles.

As I understand it those are the four major "classical" traditions (classical here means "supported by a large body of theoretical literature")

SOMETHING has to be right. You can't have a wrong without a right.

What might be better is a tree-kind of diagram, with Medieval music, folk music, and other early World music at the top, with branches downwards through Baroque, Classical and Romantic (in the Western branch), and links down to jazz, blues, and other similar music on the other side, with linking branches going horizontally to connect the various genres. Eventually, the various pop and dance styles would probably be at the bottom, along with whatever music is currently popular in non-Western countries (which I admit I am somewhat less-than familiar with).

You made those circles yourself? I really really hope so. If you found them in a book (classical, jazz, whatever) burn that book right now. Both of them (circles) are a disgrace to anyone playing or listening to any kind of music.

SOMETHING has to be right. You can't have a wrong without a right.

you can have two people being wrong though in the absence of a correct solution.
and thats what we have here. no definitive solution and people trying to enforce their ideals on to the world.
you are wrong, there is no right.

I made them all by myself, in like 1 minute.

They're not supposed to be definitive explanations of all music in the universe. They're supposed to demonstrate how absurd it is to claim that all modern music and classical harmony is a subset of Jazz theory (see Nuffink, the source of all of this idiocy, etc.)

Just because no one has the right answer doesn't mean there ISN'T one, though...

As you said, neither circle is right. I asked for a third solution, the RIGHT solution. If you can declare things as being wrong certainly there has to be at least SOME theoretical right...?
