Hey

If you listen to the intro, and parts of Madonna- Come together, you have this cool, almost reversed sounding effect on the vocals. Other tracks that have this effect is the intro on Röyksopp- circuit breaker. Also alot of psytrance producer use this reverse kinda sound on vocals, Simon Posford has done this alot in tracks for Shpongle.

Does anyone know how I can create this sound?

Have you tried.... No, I'm not going to do it. That would just be too easy.

without hearing what it is your talking about I suggest, send the vocals to a reverb 100% wet, record the output to a track, reverse and line up the transients opposite for the effected lines. Make sense?

afreshcupofjoe: I've tried to reverse some vocal parts and lay it under the main vocals, but I couldn't get the desired effect, it lacked alot of dynamics and just sounded wierd.

I've uploaded a snippet of the Madonna track with the vocal effect I'm looking for: http://home.no/christoffervart/mp3/Mado ... nippet.mp3

It's not only reversed, you can also hear a chorus or flanger or other modulation / mangling effect. Plus they did some chopping up, maybe a granuliser (fed with reverse snippets?) with large grains... And I think you're hearing several layers on top of each other

An often used trick: reverse the track, apply reverb, reverse again. In this case a lot of processing was done, it's not simple to get the exact same result in five minutes. May take you some hours to get close...

About dynamics: ofcourse the Madonna track is compressed to smithereens.

ok you need to cut some part from the vocal for example:if the vocal begins with "i don't care" so cut the part before the word "i" than drop reverb on it (long reverb)now reverse it and save it. after you saved it load it again and put more reverb with delay and you got it.
