Isnt it really a separate thread as you can use MTC, MMC or MIDI clock internally to sync software?

Here are some of the reasons for this FR:

-synching to my hardware sequencer
(which simply has a different workflow than software as a composition tool).
-sync with my friend's computer & sequencers when jamming with people
-syncing LFO's on my hardware synths

Not holding my breath for this feature to appear.

Gave up and went to another host, still use XT as a vst from time to time.
