Stick with FreeAmp 3, FreeAmp is a good catchy name, so's FrettedSynth. If you stick with it you'll build the name's continuity, recognition and strength.

I like the name FreeAmp too...but this is the second time FS has requested ideas for a new name. Maybe there is a desire to shift from freeware to shareware or something like that? If so, I think that expecting some return on this mammoth project would surely be justified. Or even if Joe just thinks a new name is in order...

One more attempted play on Helian:

yea i agree, also it will help people understand what to expect. no sense in renaming it if you already have popular plug, just increment the number

My vote for name is Freeamp 3. Or you could try these options:

1. vst plugin
2. container(Synthedit.com)

I don't know, something like FreeAmpVGS (Virtual Guitar Studio) or whatever ... sort of like when it was FreeAmpSE for a while there?

Just always hated the fact that there is a "Freeamp" mp3 player too? but I guess my use of the name is a bit more applicable.

Anyhow I finally did a test with the I\O FX running with the amp

Real quick setup and record just figured you all might want to have a listen? Kind of heavy tone with me making a whole lot of noise (my family loves me) was going for a boom\Shhh type of thing

you will hear the boom when I switch to my neck pickup, the rest is bridge pickup.

Please don't get too excited about the release there is still a lot to do, and if you can't tell I have been taking my time with this one

a year

but it will get done.

Let me know what you think of the tone?

Hey...glad to know the FreeAmp name is staying!! I think that mp3 player has been replaced by ZINF so the FreeAmp name is all yours now AFAIK.

Wicked shred-tone btw! How's the clean, OD, and crunch tones coming along?
