Hi all
Do any of you know of a utility or even a procedure in wavelab or sound forge to change the number of samples to a specific number?
Basically I would like to select the file and then put in the number of samples I want. This is for making single cycle waveforms for a project.

You can just manually type in the selection what you want in any of those editors. There will be a requester box somewhere in the menu for it. Then you can either just crop the selection or copy and paste to a new file.

----I'd swear I did that, like all the files had to have the same name, it just numbered them from 01 to 99 or something. And I don't think it was an extra program. Maybe you umm, high-light all the files, then select rename, and just say like "drumbeat01", and it'll automatically rename and number them through 99 by itself ? Don't get mad if that doesn't work, but I'd swear it was something like that.

I guess this would be the best way to go if you can find time to do this. PM me when you are done, but again..no pressure!!tconrardy wrote:Hey ..that would be cool..did not expect that. well.as soon as you can I guess, but I'm not going to pressure you or anything.duncanparsons wrote:How quickly do you need it? On a related topic, if you ever find yourself needing to rename a bunch of files and want to have a lot of control over how that happens, download the donationware called "The Rename"
