im up to installing the firmware but keeps coming up with "Timed out searching for Virus TI" i have done everything it says in the manual but nothing seems to be working , on the virus screen it reads VIRUS TI BIOS V1.03 USB update mode , im using a mac pro intel 10.4.9 cheerz

Haven't had to update for a while, but first off try updating to 10.4.11 on OSX. Reset the virus, then run the whole shebang from scratch. Usually works...

Did you use the supplied USB cable direct attached to an USB port not using a hub?
I had the same issue using an existing USB cable instead the original one from Access.

yeh its the cable i got with it , and its not into a hub, still no luck dunno what to do , i have tried uninstalling and trying another port but no luck , done it all over and over but the same everytime doesnt matter what i do, been trying for 4 days now

If you have the Virus connected to the running Mac and you startup your Virus is he saying somthing like "USB connection enabled"?

says usb connection established then usb cable lost

This is exactly what I had and the reason was the USB cable - my advice: Try another high quality USB cable and maybe try another USB port on you MAC.

I think Access will change the USB cable without any hassle.
