Hi,

I'm working on:

A new version of the Kx-Modulad (1.5). This one is stereo (stereo routing and FX sends) with new distortion and two stereo FX.

A new version of the KxPM23, I replaced the filter by a new filter, the note on can synchronised the oscillators, new EGs and I added two FX and a distortion (same of the Kx-modulad 1.5).

These plugins are ready but I must work on the presets...

Perhaps if I have the time* I will work for the DC 2008 to make my Kx-Burger synthesizer, 100% extra fat sound!

*this depends of my real life when I shut down my computer...

i suggest either making a demo video for youtube or keeping the documentation to ~1 or 2 screens worth of text.. perhaps linking to a separate document for creating waveform.

The wavetracer, I think controls harmonic content? I can see the wave shape picture change, but I never get much change in sound...or is it just brighter.

Haven't fully got into the manual for that, my computer monitor is literally small as they ever made them, and its kind of far away from my face.

I'm not really thinking about the next DC all the time but I hope have just a little time for make a DC project and I need for my music a synthe with less parameters than my last products.
A project like the Kx-Modulad is too big for my actual planning...
I worked on the Kx-Modulad since june 2007 (more if I count the development of my oscillators).
Now I think than I can use the Kx-Modulad modules for other SE structures.
I'm working on its presets to pass all in stereo. After I will work on new waveform presets, more additives than the actual waveforms.

A video in YourTube, why not... but I don't speak english, I will must do subtitles.

Perhaps I must add an oscillator for the monitoring, just one lookuptable in low mode.


To listen the result you must select a waveform on the "Modular" panel with the same type (sine,tri,saw,sqr,free) and number (10 to 255).
The default quality is "Med", you can change it on the "Display WF" panel.
"Low" quality is useful to listen quickly the waveform.
You can also work without the "loop mode" to listen the 40 first harmonics.
Set "Loop level Grp" to "Off"

Eg: you select "Osc Low Saw 255", you render your waveform.
after, on the "Modular" panel, you select one or all selectors to "Saw, 255" and you change the quality to "low" > "Disp WF", choose "LOW".

Don't forget this:
I you work your waveforms in LOW mode to listen quickly the results and you want to keep a good quality (Sync presets), you must render your waveforms with the "MED" quality.

i think people generally love accents, even if it is slightly hard to understand.

I got the wavetracer working, I chose saw, and then slot 9, randomly turned the dials and put in numbers belw, rendered, went back to the modular, put in saw 9, at first it was some ugly monsterous sound, then I tried again and got a really sweet sound. Thanks for the help.

Hi,

Caution: the 0 to 9 numbers are protected but you can desactivate the protection, they are reserved for the presets.
If you erase them or replace them with other waforms, you can render again the preset waveforms with using the end presets (100 to 128).

In fact the additive synthesis of the Kx-Wavetracer is very simple:

1=1H=440hz*1
+
1=2H=880hz*1/2
+
1=3H=1760hz*1/3

etc...

13.75hz = up to 1687 harmonics:
23200hz /13.75= 1687
23200hz is the frequency limit of the last upper harmonic.


If you program the first group 1H to 10H (1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1) and you loop it, you made a SAW waveform and the program does automatickly all loockuptables for each note (Hi mode) or key zones.

The Kx-Wavetracer is the single program which permit to work the level, the phase of the harmonics with this "Loop" and "Group" method. No need to work each Level step by step.

And the result is alway musical.

I hope to work on a design waveform module (just for do it) but this method is bad to determinate the harmonic content becauce the phase of the harmonics really changes the form of the wave. In digital domain it's more easy to add harmonics, a bad design method can produce aliasing or errors with the high frequencies.
