Brent
exactly, that's the idea of the upcoming uvisoundsource download site.

UVI Workstation is a workstation with an unlimited number of parts, it's also a full featured loop tool that lets you Drag and Drop your own phrases, REX, apple loops... You can create and edit modulations, midi learn every parameter, add FXs... Create you own multis...

So really not just a soundpack player limited to 1 part and 8 knobs... :)

Post

mdsp, this thing is really cool! I'm having a blast playing with it right now, and I haven't even explored the REX features yet. Consider me very interested...

It keeps crashing, though. Is there a beta forum or something to report problems?

Hmm, so the FREE version of the player will forever manage your loops without having to pay anything? If so, that's really cool.

Well there's nothing to be really worried about, it's just a plain RSS feed that is only checked once at UI opening. We've tried ou best to keep it non-intrusive and informative.

That's the reason why this is still a public beta and not a final release. We didn't expected crashes so early though... :)

did you restarted your machine before running it for the first time?

Uhhhmmm....neeooooo.... :scared:

I'll reboot and see if it goes away (or not, rather).

Post

if the standalone is working, it's not necessary to reboot.

Ah. It's working. I just crashed it by cycling through the playback-type settings in the Loop screen. I think I'll reboot just to make sure.

Well, two crashes so far for me. First in standalone mode, I clicked to load one of the brush drum loops and it crashed.

Next, it crashed while Cakewalk 7 Producer Edition was scanning plugins. It stopped on the plugin and then crashed.

Full crash when scanning the plugin, even after reboot. Looks very promising though, and more because it's coming from you. :)
BTW, thanx a lot for livecut, it has a fixed place in my VSTplugins folder. Will there be a version 1.0? Sorry for the OT.

Ok, it actually didn't crash Sonar, but just the VSTScan.exe program. Of course, that means that it ignores the plugin the next time and I can't use it in Sonar.

Ok, it also crashes Tracktion 3, latest version, while scanning.

This will be great (looking for something to replace a Roland XV-5050) if it pans out but Live 7 doesn't even see the vst.

How much will the monthly subscription be? :P
