Hi Otristan,
thanks for your replies so far!

I have one feature request though, and I'd love if you commented on that:

I want to be able to save presets, or preset variations, NOT just multis.
I have edited and modified the Spanish Guitar preset and now have a nice athmospheric sounding patch, but as far as I can see, there is no way to save it in a useful way. Please please implement that, I find it so incredibly important.
Sure, I could save it in a multi, but what use would that be? If I already have 3 instruments in the first 3 slots, then want to load the preset I created into slot 4, I can't do it.

Would others here support this idea?

Viktor

Plus, it would be so useful to be able to save extra FX presets.

If it changes it to C1- I get an octave from C1 to C2 where no sound plays. We should be able to maintain the split point and be able to freely transpose either tone wihtout having to mess with the keyrange again.
Does this make sense?
For those of us using it as a live workstation or so, this is certainly making a lot of sense to me.
In other words: What should be changed when setting the octave range should happen on the MIDI in side of things, rather than changing the root note while the keyrange would stay the same.

I was surprised that you couldn't save patches on their own, a definite requirement.

Feature Request: has it been said before? It would be much easier to select a sound in the browser and load it via double-click and not to have click "ok" then again in the left corner of the browser window.

Well, we've made this so that one can browse presets and preview them in context, while leaving the browser open.
you can select another part for example load a preset, change it pan, volume...etc

We might change the behaviour so that selection triggers preview and double click confirm the preview and closes the browser, but with big multi-samples instruments that might become tiresome.

Please feel free to make suggestions.

I think that this is a good idea, probably along with an option box for the "preview at selection" functionality. In case that box is unchecked, files would only load in the current way.

spidermix wrote: What I'm mean is that if I wanted to put an EQ as an insert effect for a sound, I only have the option of choosing a predefined preset already "hardwired" into the plugin. Usually these presets are so extreme that they instantly distort the sound, and you have to crank them back. Some of them have boost levels of 10db and that's just too much. So if you could just make a preset eq that was flat, and let the customer choose what's appropriate, that would be grand.

Ok I get it.
Should be easy to do.
Very sweet if you guys do this! Mucho gracias and all that other stuff.

I'm really onboard with this suggestion. It really was one of the irritating things about Plugsound Pro that the Sound on Sound reviewer mentioned (and that the developers hinted at adding way back when).

Yes, Plugsound Pro did it this way. The browser on the UVI workstation requires more "clicks" to get to the sound. In an ideal situation I would like it to :

Load up the sound so that I could audition it with one click
Send the sound to the main window for use with 2 clicks
NOT have to click the ok button.

Hey O,

One more feature that I just thought of that would be killer. Since this synth will obviously have access to a massive library, why not include a search function so that we can more easily find a needle in a haystack? I'm not sure of the difficulty of programing this, but at least on the MAC the search function is very intergraded into the O.S.

Another logical expansion of this idea, would be to list all the say "guitar" sounds across libraries. This is a more ambitious request, but that way you could pull the guitar sounds out of the Plugsound Pro library, Synth Anthology, and any other future soundsets. It would be a take on the NI and Cubase 4 soundframe ideas.
