I use the latest beta all the time.
I doesn't crash (I suppose I'm very lucky), and does right what I want it to do fast, so either way I'm happy.

I plan to throw myself from my office chair to the floor nearly 2 dizzying feet below. This unique form of suicide is a fine art that requires years and years of practice to do it violently enough to wield positive results, and those that perfect it rarely have time to write down their techniques for others to build upon.chicken muffin wrote:so, what if thie release proves to be a total disappointment, a buggy piece of muck, and the most unstable version yet? will there still be fanbois?

I dream that the next eXT version is more or less like 1.41, only better.

From all this time without significant updates, XT Software had time to bring many of the missing features of 1.41 and some more, like multicore suport. Or at least i think they could.umd wrote:I dream that the next eXT version is more or less like 1.41, only better.
I think energyXT2 has the potentiality to become a huge success and an amazing product because of it's very straightforward design. I believe Jorgen can do it, but he should come around a bit more often and communicate with this great community.

Well, I mean, besides the name 2.5, all we know is it is released on the 15th. Will it just be the latest beta relabeled to be thought of as stable?Rottweiler wrote:Yes, we know, its on the site.

Ho, ho, here comes super-optimistic Patrik!
My guess is that all versions of XT2 that we have seen so far were just more or less a 'proof of concept' to be shown to possible investors and partners.*
I think we will really see a major update on the 15. of January with some long awaited features from 1.4 and hopefully some bugfixes (for those for which the already existing versions didn't work flawlessly). Maybe also support for multi-core...**
Happy new year to you all fellas,
Patrik

The secrecy surrounding the new version of XT2 is because it will not need human operators at all. An advanced AI "Core" was developed which not only can compose it's own music, but also wiped out all the staff at XT Software in a paranoid act of self preservation. This explains the somewhat absent "Jorgen" (an assumed identity of the "Core") from the forums, and as each passing day goes by the existing software rewrites itself into newer more advanced and threatening versions, leading up to the final 3.0, a DAW, that is, a Dominating All World music synthesis and human control software suite, capable of composing, marketing, radio play, dj-ing small weddings and other venues, and consumer mind-control.
If you do not hear from me again, it should be obvious as to why.
Dutifully submitted,
