Editing Recently Used lists?

Might it be possible to add some capability to maintain the Most Recently Used lists better? They fill up with rubbish, which seems difficult to root out.
Recently Used media files can be cleared entirely, but bad entries cannot be removed individually. (Might Cantabile even do that automatically, as soon as one fails, for example, to load a non-existent or renamed file?)
The Recently Used Instruments list seemingly can't be altered at all, although I admit I don't understand the use of those pins. Once an abandoned experiment is on that list, it stays a long time.

Good points, I'll see if I can clean it up a bit.lallis wrote:Might it be possible to add some capability to maintain the Most Recently Used lists better? They fill up with rubbish, which seems difficult to root out.

Regarding the pins, it's pretty simple - pinned plugins appear in the Favorties category, unpinned plugins don't.

It's likely dense of me, but I find no signs of a Favorites category in my Solo version. Does this feature exist yet? Perhaps only in the advanced version?

I've just tested this again and can't find any issues... let me know if you can't get it to work.lallis wrote:Thanks. I see the Favorites item now. It is empty (despite my pinning some of the Recent Instruments), but perhaps I can reckon it out.

OK, Brad -- everything functions and makes sense in that region, once I grasp the point.
The pins that seem not to do anything are in the Recent Documents list that opens when I click that large icon at the extreme upper left of the GUI. There are spaces in there for the 13 most recent sessions. There's no way to clear that list or expunge useless entries. How are those pins supposed to behave?
Perhaps it's something not implemented yet.

Ah OK, sorry talking about a different set of pins.lallis wrote:OK, Brad -- everything functions and makes sense in that region, once I grasp the point.

The pins in the recent session list behave slightly differently - they just stop "favorite sessions" from falling off the bottom of the list. So say you have a favorite session that you use all the time you can pin it. Then say you go and open 20 or 30 other session files, they'll appear in that list but your favorite one that would normally have been pushed off the bottom will still be there.
I don't want to change the behavior too much in this menu as it's a sort of standard that all the Microsoft Office 2007 apps employ (and more and more other apps too).
Make sense?

Infinite sense, now that I finally get the idea.
Thanks for your patience about little matters.

No problem... there will eventually be some documentation that describes all this.lallis wrote:Infinite sense, now that I finally get the idea.
