Really ? Do you know where to download it from ?

Version 7.3 lives at http://people.jacklab.net/drumfix/
and is the latest version there.

Cheers.
Sometimes, I like replying to myself

Google is my friend

Thanks ALLENPOPO.

apparently someone took it over from drumfix, and is maintaining it here.

its the source, so you will need gc++ and wine-dev packages to compile it, but if you run gentoo you probably know more than i do ;)

cheers

edit: LOL at least you DID google it :P

Thanks for the info, I'll update my script and compile a new wineasio at once :-)

Do any of you know what version of VST-SDK it is best to use ?
I think I used 2.3 last time I did it, but I can see that there is a VST 3.0.1 now.

edit: They have a separate asio-sdk now that I will try

Post

if you compile it and get it working pls post link here. i really want to give ubuntu another go.

No luck with the new 0.7.4 wineasio, XT2.5 still crashes when recording audio :-(

But on the bright side... I did get my wineasio updated and have updated my site with the new file and a modified wineasio-install-script :-)

Tried wineasio version 7.4, it still crashes with the same message, only not so systematically.
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000034 at address 0x7ef8d917 (thread 001b), starting debugger

So, this is still bad :?

I am getting wineasio crashes too, but I don't think this is XT2 doing it. It happens mostly when I bring up the GUI of a VST plugin. I am currently using Ubuntu 8.10, Wine 1.1.13, WineASIO 0.7.4, and XT 2.5

Bill

Edit: Got Zebra synth and Karma synth running okay now, my bad -- Zebra not installed right, and mfc42.dll was missing for Karma :dog: but haven't tested very well.

Can you record audio with XT2.5/wineasio ?

Post

I have recompiled libaam.so and the native XT2.5 works flawless now :-)

But still no luck on getting it to record with wine.

Can you record audio with XT2.5/wineasio ?
My initial attempt did crash wineasio and the XT cursor stopped moving, but after fiddling with Jack (via qjackctl) and the ALSA mixer (I am not using PulseAudio anywhere) I am now able to record, playback, and export without crashing. Whether this is 100% stable I would not want to guarantee, but I seem to be getting some (good) results.
