the opening little chunnka / slide at the 12th fret on the opening to a particular live version of little wing .. cant remember exactly where and what album,
either'in the west' or a 'live at winterland' album, i've only heard it on vinyl
it echo's straight into you and you just know jimi's gonna be laying down some serious shit!
another- that beautiful 4 note guitar theme in 'shine on you crazy diamond'
and then the rundown lick in Gm.
SRV's guitar sound in general and especially 'riviera paradise'

I was going to mention a Juno Reactor lead but I think I'll settle for the scream of a nymph- distortion unit when a guitar is routed in conjunction with the wah.

Edit: actually, the piano is an old time favorite.
