why don't side chain plugins work?

I don't know, at all : i am not the programmer.
I just know that when i insert most of my compressors in the mixer, the signal gets outputed only on one channel

The only solution is to load multi input compressor into modular view and patch it yourself

well... for level and pan adjustments Don't ask me, I haven't created this application If it's by me, then even mixer should be made modular, so you can patch whatever you like and create only mixer strips you need. But, that's maybe overkill for most users of this application.

I'd like the mixer to be a separate entity in the modular view too, but hey-ho!

No need to wait - just create a full song length part in a new instrument track and route it to whatever you want to automate. You can even route the same automation track to several destinations

Thanks. I know what you mean and I use it. But it fails in terms of usability and comfortability.
Would like to see the same hide-show system bellow the main track, but with automation lines not limited to midi/audio parts.

Would love to see the behaviour of drag and resize handles when you zoom out (ie that thing that means that if you're zoomed out it's basically impossible to drag smaller clips rather than resizing them) sorted out a bit next...

Mouse resize hotspot now relative to part size, making it easier to move parts when zoomed out

Again, it's really good to see a bit of work on the sort of non-flashy usability stuff that makes XT2 look more like a finished product and less like a proof-of-concept.
