We're happy to announce the release of Silent Way v1.5.0, which adds a new plug-in to the suite - Silent Way Step LFO.

Silent Way Step LFO is a combination step sequencer and LFO generator. It shares many of the features of the LFO plug-in, but rather than generating waveforms based on simple sine, triangle etc. waves it generates a waveform that the user draws in the GUI. When the waveform is interpreted as a series of discrete values, rather than as a continuous wave- form, then the output is that of a traditional analogue step sequencer.

See the YouTube demo:

Other changes in v1.5.0:
* The Smooth control on all plug-ins is now calibrated in milliseconds, and has a much larger range.
* All Mac OS X versions now require Mac OS X 10.4.11 or higher.

Was looking forward to this update hugely :)

Top job dude. Have not tried it yet as am at work but when using it as a step sequencer do the bar graph values lock to semitone increments?

Maybe anpther little idea if it's not implemented would be to have like a midi mode button so you could play in the notes into the LFO Step Sequencer from a midi keyboard rather than doing it just from mouse?

That would rock my world for sure.

PS I'm now getting 7 octaves from the Arp Odyssey using the MOTU 2408mk3, 6.5 octaves from the Pro-1, 7 octaves from the Yamaha CS-30 and just over 7 octaves from the Future Retro XS. Can only get 5 octaves from the Future Retro XS when using it's built in midi to cv convertor.

Cheers dude

Not in this version. For that I'd have to connect it up somehow to the calibration from the Voice Controller - which is do-able, I just haven't done it yet.

This is awesome!! I had a look at that demo video where you were using Live.

As soon as I'm back on Logic I'm going on an Expert Sleepers shopping spree.

Marco :)
