No third round for me. People who can read closely will have understood my words.

I'm not playing with words ( Stab Vs Bashing) and I'll have to leave Bastiaan to his world of sarcasms.

Just a little clarification however :

The first time he put his comments in another thread, Rob Lee himself thanked me privately for my warning, wich btw was proved to be absolutely true, as the end of the story demonstrated it. But selective memory probably has its merits, as not following a story to see how it ends has its reasons.

As for Tone 2 new forums, if third party notifications are not allowed, and if the moderation should be stronger than what it already is in the Kvr forum ( Wich Tone 2 will leave because, partly, they dare "link to competitive products") I'm afraid they will be of few interest, for me at least. I hate to see post disappearing when they're not considered as politically correct

I'm very pleased and enjoy myself in KVR.

But, as says the proverb, its always the best that leave first

I'd recommend Discovery or Discovery Pro.

Both have several sound designer banks. Yes, I know it may sound biased

but they are really good.

Here are some suggestions:

- IMHO at the moment the synth with the best mixture of sound quality, features, amount of good/excellent presets, prize and usability is the upcoming Synthmaster 2.0 from KV331 Audio.

- Another synth with great presets + free/commercial soundsets but a bit more expensive is NI Absynth 5.

- If you count in the available free and commercial soundbanks it would be either Alchemy, Sylenth1, Synth Squad or Rob Papen Predator for me.

- If you buy both Legacy collections (Digital + Analog 2007) from KORG you get 6 synths with a high sound quality and a lot of presets/free soundets/commercial soundsets (e.g. M1 with all available memory cards for the M1 + T1). With the Wavestation software you could use all soundsets for the hardware version, there are lots of them in the web.

I can honestly say that I have no idea what you're referring to, but if Rob Lee has any problems with us or me, he's got my sincere invite to contact me and give us the opportunity to set things straight.

With that in mind, my contact with Rob Lee has been nothing but positive, that's not selective memory, but based on every PM & mail that I still have on file here.

Are you talking about vengeance in general or about nexus audio demos?

Because if you mean nexus audio demos, i would even go as far as call this a straight up lie, that might scare of refx-customers.

i am in no way related to vengeance/refx and i just want to say it again: the nexus expansion demos sound just like the product you get, when buying nexus. no added soundmagic whatsoever.

Well, I think all of the above are good suggestions, but what sound are you wanting?... what genre do you prefer (disco, techno, metal, vaudeville, jazz, blues, RNB, acid, house, alternative), what?

Its kinda hard to know what you are after with just one statement...

I never mentioned Nexus, wich I never heard demos of btw, so sorry if some people would think of this particular product.

Does Nexus comes with embedded compressors on board ?

I was just referring to the other time you "commented one of my posts", and btw I never said Rob Lee had a problem with you. If you dont want to discuss something dont put it on the table

I think at this point we might as well leaving things as they are and dont derail this post anymore.

As for trying to promote our own products I was under the impression its one of your tasks in your team too. Maybe I'm wrong ....

I'm shocked no one has mentioned Spectrasonics Omnisphere. That along with Spectrasonics Stylus RMX is a one-two punch.

Alchemy is excellent - but it's more geared toward tweakers. Yes, there are TONS of presets and some good expansion packs. You cannot go wrong with Camel Audio.

Wusik is FANTASTIC. Easy to program, hundreds of thousands of presets (if you buy all available expansions) and a THRIVING community if you have questions. Feel free to look at PRIZM, which utilizes the wusik engine and comes with over 800 presets on its own, plus a 32GB library covering 10 genres (with some SWEET strings and brass) - www.hardcoreharmonics.com

On the low-cost side is my up-coming product SuperCore from www.supersynths.com. Each product guaranteed to be under $50 and VERY high quality sounds. It's a preset lover's dream since you will be able to just pick and play. Look for it in the next few weeks.

So what's going on here?

I'd prefer to be kept out of any discussions/attacks on other preset designers thanks.

Didn't really look much into this thread but someone is asking what synth sits in a mix????
Well the answer is any synth if you know how to put it to good use...practice makes perfect.
As for audio demos..anyone that requires them and if i have that particular synth i will consider.
Audio demos are an important part of showing the contents/quality of a preset designers work and can make or break a soundbank.
Here's a few i'll recommend..the ones i have although even the free ones here at KVR will do wonders if used in the right way.

My Synths:

Sylenth/Largo/Predator/Discovery Pro/Zebra/Ultra Analog/Blue/SubBoomBass/Minimonsta

i may have more in my collection but all these here are great synths and will do the OP's job just fine with quality presets from various preset designers.

But thanks again for keeping me out of any handbags on here

Dude, I'm usually right with you, and I own a few of your presets and I enjoy them... but you're off on this one. I read every post in this thread and I have to agree with Bastiaan. There's nothing that irks me more than a sales pitch that includes a slight on a competitor. Instead focus on the quality and characteristics of your product. No need to mention other sound designers. Your presets stand on their own merit.

Looking for a softsynth that has great presets and sits in the mix well
