Haha. I think you could put one more line of space before your name MountainKing. It looks nicer. ;-)

It's like winning a mini-lottery. Fun isn't it? I actually won the lottery the other day. The full potential was 7 million. I won $6. But hey! FREE coffee! I'm not complaining. ;)
Nah, you're the guy with ALL the Epointz. It's a bit like cheating. ;)

I'm not sure I understand this. What is the "CM freebie"? Are you saying that we won't be getting a full version of EZ Player Pro, or are you talking about another product?

CM = Computer Music. They frequently have cut-down versions of programs as offerings on the included disk. A helpful magazine on many fronts, thought it's not one I subscribe to or regularly buy. I believe the version added in to the GB @300 is the full version.

Hey, can anyone point me to a page where I c an listen to some of the Drum Masters sounds? I found a drum masters page on esoundz but can't seem to match up any of the kits listed here with whats on there. Maybe they don't match??

I was thinking Steven Slate as I needed some better drum sounds, but I think these ones sound less... I dunno... There's a real commercial pop/rock/metal sound on the Slate thing it seems. very polished. I have a more indy /alternative/retro kinda bent, so these seem more suited, would that be a fair summation? And of course Squids is a legend around here with the awesome stories and service. And products of course!

Also, as a long time but infrequent SR/IK purchaser and forum sneak, if anyone wants to refer me I'd be happy. I added my log-in in that referral thread. As of me writing this, its in a post of its own waiting to be subsumed into the global master world-dominating list, as per the instructions. I don't think I've ever had any referrals, so for those people who root for the underdog, i could well be the underdog from down-under (not OZ but NZ, which still counts I think). I'm almost certainly gonna jump on this group buy a bit later so I'll return the favour to someone...!

thanks, Simon

Thanks for the clarification! I thought that "CM" was most probably a reference to something else, and now I get it! :-)

I'm getting excited about EZ Player Pro. We are now over 300, so we will be getting it officially. And after watching the video for the product on ToonTracks I think it will a worthy tool to have in the arsenal.

Personally I don't get that whole "polished" thing. I find Squids' kits to be much more sonically pleasing.

Polished is probably the wrong word. I know the sonic detail, especially on the OWD kits, is second to none, I looked at most of the videos on the OWD site.
'
Its just that when I hear the SS kits I think of music like Nickelback or whatever. That real shiny commercial rock sound. I dont think Beck, Radiohead... formulaic and definitely commercial. I'm probably digging myself a deeper hole here.
