s.i.c.k modular (simple instrument construction kit)
new web page and slightly refreshed pack... s.i.c.k_starter-pack.7z
a collection of modular vst plugins made in synthedit.
(V1.017,so the dual/multicore bug/problems may be in effect....)
made for my favourite host XT1.4.1
(but may work in other modular-type hosts eg: usine,bidule etc)

copy the s.i.c.k folder to your vstplugins folder,put any new ones in too,
(folderless dll+data folder).

following a discussion here, i've decided to make it free.

all plugin names begin with a colour,so they should appear in groups,alphabetically.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
plugin colour codes:

green = midi
lilac = oscillators
pink = modifiers
blue = controls
peach = effects
skyblue = math
brown = logic
grey = special
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
connection colour codes:

red = audio
green = midi
yellow =gate/trigger
pink = pitch
dark blue = control signal,eg:volume level
light blue = secondary control signal,eg:velocity/pw
grey =dummy/does nothing

how to get started:
Image
i've made the modules fairly low-level for your modular pleasure,and i'll also make
some slightly more built-up versions to help achieve common tasks easier.
suggestions are welcome,if you think it should be more low-level,or if you need a
particular module let me know.

Thanks, spacedad! :)

This should be more or less like Analog Box, then?

That's for what you said last of all... heh heh.

einstein/elmer fudd=andy/me. ;)
analog box is cool.sick isn't standalone,you need a host.

ok now?

I just tried out this pack. Fun stuff, though I must admit I had a bit of trouble setting it up at first (I hadn't connected the volume connector from the MIDI to CV to the ADSR). I should have come back to check on your diagram.
I tried it out in the free vst version of Usine. It was my first time using Usine, so it took me a few minutes to get a feel for it. The connections between plugins are made on a lower level interface rather than gui to gui, like in your XT example, so it's a bit less intuitive.

Your modules integrate pretty nicely with the Brooks Mogue Modules linked in the other thread.

I'm going to have to put in more work to see what I can get out of them though I already had some fun blippy sounds bouncing around.

Thanks for these. I'm definitely looking forward to more modules.

I didn't try it yet, I was making plugins all day yesterday.

What is that contour or whatnot module? I think that goes with an adsr? It's stuff I've never used/looked at.

i'm working on a manual,
not sure which 'contour' one you mean.but it's only a simple midi2cv/osc/adsr/amp setup.
basic se really.

new modules come soon....

I just got it working, definitely not sure what's going on though.

midi2cv gate triggers adsr.sends pitch to osc.
adsr out goes to amp level.osc out goes to amp in.
