Luftrum: Ambient - new official soundbank for Alchemy

[Luftrum]

Hi.

I am happy to present Luftrum: Ambient an official soundbank for Alchemy released by Camel Audio and containing 150 ambient presets by Luftrum. Pads, Soundscapes and Arpeggiated for Ambient, Film and Electronica. Alchemy Player is included with the soundbank, turning it into a standalone instrument - if you don't already own the full version of Alchemy. No further plugin needed to play the sounds in your DAW!

The presets have all been assigned to the remix pad, offering 8 different variations of each preset - for a total of 1200 variations.

Thank you Andy. The field recordings (in particular within the 'Sound Effects' section) really benefits from the amazing way Alchemy can transpose a sample to something far from the original, as the preset Complex Orchestra (SFX again) which is a tiny little lego doorbell thingy, recorded with my Zoom H2 and amplified. Assigned to the 8 snapshots, transposed and manipulated there's a wealth of complex harmonics present. It's almost a self generating ambient-box kind of preset.

There is a history behind a lot of the presets and I'm considering writing a little manual with the history behind the presets.

I think you should do that, it would be really interesting to hear about how you came up with the sounds. The demo's sound great!

+1 It would be fascinating to read about your workflow on these sounds. I downloaded some of the free field recorded samples from your website (which are excellent) and i'm trying to work them into a piece at the moment although its coming out more sinister than intended at the moment (music box and woodland with crows! )
