Acoustic Guitar this Year?

As I mentioned before, due to exceeding the K2 zone limitation, this acoustic guitar will be released in K4-only format initially, though using the current Evolution guitar engine. There will be a big update (new script, GUI, and some cool new features) afterwards, which will apply to both the acoustic guitar as well as Evolution Electric Guitar. However, I'm taking the opportunity to make a few improvements to the current engine. For example, the displayed key range now dynamically updates to show where the keyswitches are as well as the note ranges (which vary depending on the guitar's tuning).
Oh, and all the effects are now mapped at the bottom of the keyboard, so you no longer have to switch to an "effect" articulation to access them.

There isn't anything I've seen or heard about evolution acoustic that isn't awesome. I cannot wait to see the evolution line fulfil their true potential as K4 instruments. The others are probably going to dislike this, but I don't care if you take time out to jam with it all day; life should be fun (seems you work really hard). Plus, I really enjoy your jammin' demos

Wow, the demos sounds great!
Greg, please save those acoustic guitar demo midi and preset files, and add them to the the download link for the release date, don't forget!

^^^ With instruments like these now available, NOT having Kontakt 4 (or whatever the latest/greatest flavour will be soon) is a "big mistake."
(Honestly, I've spent so much on libraries for it recently, the cost of Kontakt has been negligible.

So what do you guys want to hear from the demos? I imagine some strumming would be important, and I'll be sure to show off some of the special effects as well. Anything else, or anything in particular you'd like to hear?
I managed to optimize it from taking around 1 GB of RAM to using around .65 GB--just a little more than EEG Strawberry. The library is the largest OTS product we've ever developed yet, in terms of GB and also sample count.

Here's a really quick strumming test: http://www.orangetreesamples.com/audio/acguitarduet.mp3
And by really quick, I mean that I played in both parts through my MIDI keyboard, taking no more than 15 minutes to make.
The strumming (rhythm guitar engine) track uses the fingered articulation for a softer tone, while the lead guitar is picked. Enjoy!

Thankfully up to now all the sample libraries in K4 format I wanted were Kontakt Player ready. Acoustic Guitar changes that and there's no way I'm not getting it, even if I have to use it in demo mode for a while!dhalfen wrote:^^^ With instruments like these now available, NOT having Kontakt 4 (or whatever the latest/greatest flavour will be soon) is a "big mistake."

Needless to say, I've also spent thousands on Kontakt libraries so the cost of the actual sampler is ridiculously low by comparison.

I recommend that this thread is renamed to: "Acoustic Guitar OF THE YEAR".

In fact the name of this thread sounds now involuntarily sarcastic.EvilDragon wrote:I recommend that this thread is renamed to: "Acoustic Guitar OF THE YEAR".
