squinting hard and taking the colours into account, I may know three of them... no idea of a connection though so could well be wrong. It's been known.

In which case I'd like to suggest...tactfully...that at least two of your guesses are wrong. The connection's the easiest thing about this question.

I'll post some clearer versions later tonight, if no-one gets it in the meantime.

If you didn't know the cover, the last version kind of looks like someone (with their hands behind their neck) sticking their elbows out.

me too...

well, I trashed a couple of ideas, trying to make a composite album cover from other covers just looked pants and my question about artists with cover art featuring radio telescopes kind of stalled at steve hillage and night ranger so...

I seem to remember that Ben Watt had a condition that meant half his bowel had to be removed...does that help?
