Dang! Too late for my comment. Anyway, I'm gonna go ahead...

CSR was state of the art a few years ago. Today, there are better options, even in the Lexicon emulation realm. The CSR Hall and Plate are going to be fairly close to the PCM91 Hall and Plate, but the modulation seems more sinusoidal than Lexicon-style modulation. The Lexicon plugins do a better job than CSR, and Warp69 (the CSR developer) has a nice emulation of the 480L in his LX480 plugin - he has obviously learned a lot in the past 5 years.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Sean.

I still think that newer does not mean better, but it's probably me having to learn from you! Furthermore, loving CSR particularly on vocals - a kind of vocals most think barely resemble a human... someone can surely dissent :D

It's not my choice for whole mixes, but I find it extremely useful.

As stated before, I look forward to ValhallaRoom as well :tu:

Always a good reverb which nailed a bit the Lexicon sound. It's cheap and doesn't need much resources. Not the best and newest reverb on the planet but it does his job very well. It's some of the reverbs where the sound is more "mixed" with the reverb. It's not a sound where the hall sounds more separated from the sound.

I use it often in combination with the ArtsAcoustic reverb.

aw too bad man! it is like the worst reverb plug-in ever, I can't believe you paid even that much for it.
Let me take it off your hands. :D

seriously though, I assume this was a private sale?

yep, you are right, please forgive me for my wasted money. :D

To all other fellows: it is not awful at all for me.
Looked for a Reverb with easy interface and less CPU.
Better ones are about $199 or upwards.:?

One exception: Valhalla
Dear Sean, perhaps next month I will try out your plugs. :D

No not really.

I have CSR and would be more than happy to sell it if someone can tell me how to transfer the license.

Ditto. :)

I can't tell you how to transfer the license, but I can tell you it costs money. :(

I overlooked that one. You buy a transfer token from the IK Store, a transfer code is issued - you're going to use that one to de-activate the software from your user area: you'll need to give the serial number to the new owner. Every step is confirmed via e-mail.
Costs 39,90€ + VAT within Europe. The fee is high - I think something like the Nomad Factory transfer fee would be more appropriate, at least for software under 200/250 €/$...I personally sold a redundant T-Racks EQ+Metering license and just asked for the license fee in order to make it worth for the buyer.

So...for that price you CAN'T regret it :D

....I got it for free in one of those promotions, but I don't use it, as I like AAR much more, or the Powercore Reverbs...

Once again: matter of taste. I paid for it and won't sell it.

Like it... keep it.
Don't like it... sell it.
Can't sell 'cause it was free...fortunate enough to have an unlimited free demo which is also another chance in case of need.

It's that simple!

EDIT: without any harshness intended, of course!

CSR plate is my go-to reverb. I haven't played much with the other algorithms so I don't really know their sound. If I can't make a nice sound with the CSR plate I use AAR. Done.

congrat b-pole CSR is a really good reverb , for this price you can't go wrong ! :D
