I always thought that that movie was rather a documentary.

This model works great for UA, Toontrack and a boatload of others.
Let the users decide.
Without ranking the viability of any of your alternative suggestions, I'll just chime and and say that this marketing method is a major turn-off to me as well. I don't want internet Big Brother hand holding me in the midst of either trying to run my audio apps or in trying to demo a new plug-in. It is in fact clunky and intrusive, and even a little bit insulting. I see now I'm not alone in thinking that.
I'll chime in and say that the custom shop concept works great for me! 8)

I'm quite put off as well. Was waiting for AmpegSVX and AT Metal x64 for a while, but I find them wrapped up in a big, big application with everything stuffed there...don't like the big brother and the one-app-for-all concepts either.
I also ditched x86 and I find myself not using a single IK software at the moment: CSR, which I love, is 32bit only - same for T-Racks. As for the sims, I really do not want such a big application and the CS always lurking, occupying un-necessary space on my HD.

And again, no word about CSR x64...I can live without IK's sims, I mainly use other stuff, but not using the mixing tools is quite frustrating.

We're working on releasing 64 bit for each plug in one at a time. T-Racks is coming sooner than you think.
No longer with IK. Here is my Website | Twitter | YouTube | Facebook | Instagram

I don't suppose that would include T-Racks 1? I love this plug-in and still use it a lot but would prefer a 64bit version.

I was pretty sure about T-Racks and understand you can't port all of the stuff at the same time. Still worried about CSR, though - nobody ever replied clearly... a pity, that plug is the very reason I also bought the others and just would like to know (not when, yes or no would suffice).

Nonetheless, I can compromise the on the less-than-ideal protection scheme and tank-like app if able to use the tools. Hoping that IK will eventually redeem and convert to license keys :hihi:

I still use CSR a lot and I'd also like to that that an x64 is in the cards.

I have loved my vibro since fenderAT came out :D

Question please about another vid: Is that an ibby js1000 or a js1200??

Post

It is JS1200
:)

Was there a particular reason you went with that vs the 1000? Not trying to be off topic but since you are using at3 in the vids :hihi:

Post

No, I just made a barter for my Custom RG with this guitar :)
No off topic of course :P

Post

Thanks. They have the js1000 for roughly 1200 in stock at both GC's. The 1200 is 1800 with limited stock but the specs on the ibby site seem nearly the same (except for the neck pup)
