I've made no progress at all though sure I'm going to kick myself over a couple of them...

Sod it, I'm going for it...left to right from the top:
1. The Zombies - Odessey and Oracle
2. Pink Floyd - Piper at the Gates of Dawn
3. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
4. Kate Bush - Never For Ever
5. Radiohead - The Bends
6. I still don't know, but it had better not turn out to be Cliff Richard or they'll be trouble
7. Depeche Mode - Ultra
8. Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs
9. Elliott Smith - Figure 8
Link: albums wholly or partially recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
Sorry if I'm a bit premature, but that was getting far too labour intensive; if anyone else gets the last one I'll be glad to give them the honour of setting the next question.

You seem to be much further than anyone else so I'll give it to you.
It was hard to find a piece of that cover that wasn't going to give it away or was too obscure but I guess I hit the obscure a bit hard there. It's actually:

Over to you...

I'd looked at that one, obviously. Just didn't see it.
I'd decided it was a picture of some kind of sea creature, with it's eye at the bottom of the picture, and possibly the figure of a man standing in the background. Way off the mark...

A palm tree
An apple
An aerial view of a broad-shouldered man, walking
The Mad Hatter
What the bejaysus am I on about?

Well, that was brief! That last one was Charisma Records.farlukar wrote:Record label logos?
Island | Apple | Mute | ?
I also had lined up:-
A finger-snapping hand (Stax)
Three rooftops, a chimney and some smoke (Factory)
A man in sunglasses, a black suit, a black tie and a pork pie hat (2-Tone)
A small dog staring into a phonograph (HMV)
- but you were too clever by half. Over to you farlukar!

edit: ah... not DS then.

I've got a horrible feeling they may have all composed ringtones for use by various phone companies, but I can't find any evidence for Robert Fripp.

Though Fripp did do some of the Windows Vista sounds... As did Eno for '95(?)
Sakamoto and Morricone have certainly both composed ringtones.
I think if you expand it to 'composing music for hi tech devices' then B_F has it.
