It's funny I loved that neck before it warped. Hated everything else about it. Unshieded humbuckers were noisey as all getup and I kept on reaching for a tone control that wasn't there.
Getting back to strat w/ three springs. When I got my strat, They packed two springs in the case and it had three setup. I've never changed the original setup.
I've never had a single problem with intonation. It's almost 30 now been thru hell and back plays better then the day I bought it and has tones of battle scars.
Your next guitar?

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I've got WOOD, Surfcaster, Floyd with EMGs:
http://www.charvel.com/en-GB/guitars/se ... 2931210557
it already and perfect in weight for me...
Oh yeah not forgetting that Ibanez MTM1 or MTM2 first though
Meh 'compound radius shitboard' and well maple board would be good against the mahogany IMHHO. Still i shall have a go before ruling one out or even it could be the hardtail i am missing...Time will tell
