Hi everyone!
I can't find the old thread at the moment.
There is a new AudioGL video which looks really interesting: http://www.indiegogo.com/AudioGL-Crowdfunding-Campaign
I really like this so far! Not really because of the 3D interface but because of the modular approach!
Cheers
Dennis

It looks fantastic and sounds great too, it looks so different it scares people, they are all used to "standard" sequencers like Live, Cubase etc...
I really wish he gets enough funds to finish on time

Yes its very different in its approach for an audio app because it generates visuals from the audio + a whole track with 1 oscillator .

I've been keeping my eye on this for a while but the price is putting me off a little bit. I'm not saying it's a huge amount of money but for something that's so different and unproven, it could be a costly gamble.

This is some extremely inspirational software. Can't wait to try it out!

So? You can do exactly the same today with AudioMulch, for example. In fact, AudioGL looks much like AudioMulch just with the timeline moved into 3D.risome wrote:Yes its very different its its approach for an audio app because it generates visuals from the audio + a whole track with 1 oscillator .

I'm not sure I would like to try and digest a large project in 3d like that. However, I'd love to have that type of interface to deal with (dissect) some Alchemy, ACE, Absynth, Zebra and Reactor patches.

OMG!!! All of this was cool, but ~ @5:12+ I just smiled REALLY BIG and shook my head in that WOW!!! amazing!!! kinda way.EvilDragon wrote:This is some extremely inspirational software. Can't wait to try it out!
There was a time not that long ago, when I would have financed something like this completely, if for no other reason than to alleviate the "creators" frustration of having to do something distractingly 'mundane', just to survive. Been THERE too many times.
Brilliant!!!
[aside] I "think" in 3D... "hologram-esque". Always have... most don't.

Really like the look of this, but it remains to be seen if the new paradigm (3D etc.) is actually usable in reality.
Still, kudos to the developer for trying something new and if it's as efficient CPU wise as the info suggests then that is a big win. Considering purchasing a license because IMHO this is exactly the type of thing that should be encouraged.
Peace,
Andy.
