I bought it LOL. And played together with my D50 There were dozens of "thunder", "rain" etc. (the famous SID "white noise")... Everything in 48 KB FREE (KB, not GB!)

Reason will get VST (or other 3rd party plugin thing) support sooner or later. Just see how many "never going to happen" have finished making it.

From what I understand about Rack Extensions, you deliver some sort of byte code to Propellerhead and they take care about producing the actual plugin (which then will run on all platforms they decide to support; even future platforms). Also, since the GUI has to fit in the Reason rack using the same GUI as in other plugins won't be possible. Another likely problem is that you can't use SSE stuff in Rack Extensions as this would make it quite hard to support on a platform without SSE but of course can use it in other Juce based plugins.

Now that's incredibly cumbersome.

Correct: i avoid playing Logic instruments and I own only vst synths and effects. In Logic i obviously play them as AU, but not for my choice. What I like about Logic is al the rest and the green loops (which contain MIDI informations). I hope one day Logic will come back to be multiplatform and vst host. Regarding the samples (exs24 and ultrabeat) i converted my preferred presets/patches into kontakt and battery.

So you use and like Logic.. a host which does not have native VST support, a host that leads you to purchase plugins that must support AU as well as VST, and a host who's fantastic native plugins you must voluntarily ignore... but you endlessly go on about Reason? Seems like you should be taking the fight to the folks at Apple, and not the Props. After all, it's the software you use, no?

But I am not an Apple/Propellerhead/Steinberg whatever fanboy (apart italian "Magic Synth" for Commodore 64 ). I simply use Logic because for now is the best DAW for me, very relaxing for my eyes and complete. I use Ableton Live, too and in the past i used Cubase. I have tried other daws, but for now Logic is my preferred one. When Record came out I hoped it had VST support, but nothing. So, after years of unheard requests to propellerhead, I've given up and sold R6 (Reason user since 2002, three times betatester).

Not on several rows, however on the same row you should be able to see the other notes, albeit greyed out. Afaik you can't edit notes in several clips at the same time (unless you join them).

I think that's right. It makes editing drum data a pain.
