is it just me or does this synth take forever to load?
in both Cubase and Live it takes about 20-30 seconds for EACH INSTANCE to load :(

Post

Loads fast (instantly) here.

Same here with Sonar X1.

Post

It loads quick here in FL Studio.

But i know what you mean.
There are some synths which takes huge amount of time to load.

Another examples, at least here in FL Studio are.
Razor, Alchemy, Diva (just a bit), and some others.

Dunno why, but we should be patient, i guess.

Have a good day :)

What's your DAW configuration? (RAM, Cpu, OS...)

What made you write such generic statement like this? Please enlighten me with some fact.

Win 7 64 pro
Live 8.3.1 is 32 bit.
Cubase 6.0.6 is 64 bit.

I have 8GB RAM. i7 Quad Q 720 1.6GHz

I've seriously never seen a softsynth take this long to load.

Same configuration as mine, apart the SSD hard drive... no, it can't be that slow, even with a traditional hd! Is it the only soft synth with this issue?

Google "india spammers" and/or "india seo spam" or just read this BBC article :

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-17813300

I've operated and hosted forums and blogs for years, on all my servers I used to block India, Pakistan and China IP's in the firewall but now my provider blocks them at the router level because of the overwhelming amount of blog comment and forum signature spamming. Actually, anywhere a visitor can input data will usually get hammered by spammers and when you trace the IP, it's almost always India if it's SEO related, China if it's counterfeit merchandise spam (they spam incessantly for Nike shoes, etc).

This comes from experience fighting spam on my internet properties, if you don't like my reasoning, just read the article mentioned above and please, let's keep this thread on topic.

Cheers

^^^Internet literacy is pretty low hence I was kinda questioning your statement then I did some reading and shocked to find out it is on top now. It's mentioned though that hijacked computers from these countries being used for spamming. Anyway, it is what it is. Having said that it's still not polite to write such comments in a forum like this.
And, no I am not trying to hijack the topic. I love OSC and the group here. So this is my last post on this topic.

I have also noticed that the project does take an unusual amount of time to load on Sonar X1. I have only around eight tracks with Minimoog V now. But once it loads it's pretty smooth. My conf is Win XP 32bit, 3 GB RAM, i5 processor.

What exactly do you mean by this? Did you freeze the tracks? Something else?
