UPDATE: Well, it looks like Hurricane Isaac is headed straight for New Orleans, so I'm expecting some power outage for at least a couple days. So this might throw me off track a bit. I'm still aiming for a release date of Sept 1, but if you dont hear from me for a while, you know what happened.
That would depend on your idea of what makes a synth good. If your looking for something with lots of character, many unusual yet usable features, a well thought out GUI with a good workflow, then Phonec might be worth checking out. I'm hoping to have this ready by the weekend if this hurricane allows for it, so hang tight.djshire wrote:So does this look like its going to be a good synth, or is it too early to call?

UPDATE: Well I just had one hell of a week, but now that Hurricane Isaac is over and my power is back on after several days in the dark, I'm ready to get back to work on this release. Phonec should be ready to go on Monday Sept 3. Thank you all for your patience.

Errrh, no, what counts is that you're safe, and that everything is fine for you. When someone has to face ahurricane, i think that we are safe on the other side of the planet we can wait for a few daysjack [psychicmodulation] wrote:Thank you all for your patience.

We actually made out pretty well in metro New Orleans, however it's the rural ares that got hit hard. But for us in the city, the worst aspect was losing power for several days. I'm very fortunate to have basic resources again, because there's still some areas outside the city without water, much less power. It's been rough, but I can't complain. And one thing I know now, is that it's not worth sticking around. I will definitely make plans to evacuate ahead of time for the next one.
