I never install vst's in program folders, all my other stuff works fine.
I already told that there are TWO installation paths. One for the waves software that also includes the Standalone, the License Center etc.
ive already told you i know that, and i know where i told the installer to install both parts
So where did you install the Waves software then (you could see mine in the last screenshot)? You only told about the path of your plugins.
I am asking all the time as maybe you installed at a wrong place. Maybe you also installed at a path where you need administrator rights. BTW i always start my hosts with administrator rights.

And what host software do you use (i already mentioned i tried in Live 8 and Reaper 4 32-bit)? I already guessed you maybe use Orion as you seemed to use it in the past.

Ingo
as i already said, its not anywhere that requires admin (infact ive never been asked once about admin rights by any software in the 21 months ive had this PC)

its installed in a subfolder of my only HD. (C)

so is that location so "secret" that you could not post an exact path?

Anyway: Which host software do you use? Orion?

I just found this about problems of Orion with Waves plugins:

i already did
Only found this so far:
Kriminal wrote:[
No .dll was installed. The install was in C/VST which my host was pointed to. Waveshell folder is there but no vst. All i got was a shortcut in Desktop to standalone version.
As already mentioned you need two paths for the VST and the rest of the software but based on your reply i guess you already know that.

Anyway what about the question about the host? See my last post about that.

In the past (in other threads) you also mentioned you are not interested in my help as i am no representative of the developer/company. Maybe you could wait for a reply from Guy then...

as in most other threads where we both discussed Kriminal does not seem to be really interested in my help which could be clearly seen from the style of his replies. He did still not answer the question about which host he uses after some tries from my side.

I guess that's it. Last time i tried to answer Kriminal's questions.
i already stopped replying to him at the Rayblaster thread...

and I absolutely agree on starting a new thread about installing Waves plugins. The bigger the company, the more problems with installing their plugins. I prefer pure DLLs myself... put it in VST dir and chiaos. All these Waveshell problems are unnecessary... I don't know why Waves still insists on that ancient stupidity of theirs. Just to be different? :hihi:

How's REAPER different? Did you have any problems installing REAPER? I know I never had any problems with it.

But this is soooooo offtopic, I'm sorry for even posting it. What made you make that comment? Or maybe I misunderstood it a bit.
