Gigantic. Over 150 GB (at a very conservative estimate). Probably easily twice that and more.Stopani wrote:Yeah i'm pretty much sold, all I want to check is that my Sample Library doesn't blow it up.Aloysius wrote:I bought it. As soon as REX support was announced, I was sold. The Tax is not good for me but overall, still a complete bargain for what you get, especially, if like me you are not getting along with the new Live 9 ''browser''!!!
What size library are you running it over if you dont mind me asking?

Hi. Just replied to you via PM (in response to your email to our support address). Hope that answers your question.Stopani wrote:Great to see more development happening on SampleLibrarian and fantastic news about the added REX support.
I demo'd V1 and i'd like to demo the new version but my 30 days trial was over in 2011

And AFAIK, has never been on sale ...hibidy wrote:I'll check this out later. Little bit expensive, we'll see.

I've always waited for a sale, but there was not a single one... Unfortunately I still haven't found any alternatives to it, and my hard disk is about to explode because of too much samples...Ghostwave wrote:And AFAIK, has never been on sale ...hibidy wrote:I'll check this out later. Then maybe now that REX files are supported, it's time to have some sort of group-buy or sale.Tricky-Loops wrote:I've always waited for a sale, but there was not a single one... It's just my opinion but but I can promise that if it got down to under 20 euros, I'd buy it for sure. At 36 euros including VAT, I'm not sure I can jutify the expense, considering I don't have that many samples.

Pretty nice so far, again, kinda pricey. I LOVE how you can enter the key and get like "rex". Try that in lives browser
I guess there is no loop though?
Also, there isn't a way to scroll through a large wav, is there?

If you use it all the time, then the price is fine as it is quality software.hibidy wrote:UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. With it being euros, it's almost 40 USD.
But as I wouldn't use it daily, it's hard for me to pull the trigger at full price.
I'm certain that if RYAudio had a spring sale or a group-buy, they could make a ton of money.

Whatever next?

I didn't say they should do it, as they have no serious competition.Aloysius wrote:Ghostwave Audio advise RYAudio on pricing structure.

I'm just saying that every computer-based musician has to deal with samples, either loops, one-shots, or audio renders.
The potential customer base is huge (especially with REX support) but AFAIK RYAudio doesn't advertise.
I know that if I ever have to use a sample librarian, this will be my choice, at full price or not. I demo'ed it and it's great.
And I wasn't speaking as Ghostwave Audio, but simply as a user.
Would you be annoyed it anyone got it for cheaper than you did?

You made a suggestion. That's what I said. That's what you've acknowledged. So what's the problem?Ghostwave wrote:I didn't say they should do it, as they have no serious competition.Aloysius wrote:Ghostwave Audio advise RYAudio on pricing structure.

If my KvR user name was 'IK Multimedia' and I made product for 'IK Multimedia' and my signature contained links to purchase 'IK Multimedia' products, who would you say I was more likely to be representing?
(a) IK Multimedia
(b) Myself
(c) Ghostwave audio (Vincent - Ghostwave Audio sound design
Banks for Sylenth1 | DUNE | Synplant | MorphoX | Permut8)
Do you know anybody who actually wants to pay more for a product that everybody else? I don't. I'm no exception.
Would I hold a grudge if there was a group buy? I don't think so. Like any sane person, I'm more annoyed by the Tax Europeans (like myself) are expected to pay, considering how little Europe is actually doing for us.
The product itself is very fairly priced imho. The Tax is not nice but even at EUR 36, I reckon I got a bargain.

Fair enough.
And do we know who RYAudio is? Does (s)he have a name? I can't see any information at all on the website, which should really be required if you are an incorporated business and charge VAT to customers.
