can't put my finger on the exact 'emotion' or 'atmosphere' but it is 'compellingly palpable'.
i don't know whether it's my imagaination or not with your pieces in general, but again this one has a great overall 'texture' as well. whatever 'bitcrush scratch' there is on the surface is underpinned by an aforementioned 'velvet' texture.
the vocal interlude is a great way to 'break' toward the middle of the piece.

thanks chaps
@mrblitz - i like to use subtle, and sometimes not so subtle noise layered with the synths. also a bit of hiss, hum or crackle sidechained to the kick can create a pleasing push-pull sort of texture. i like a bit of saturation too, sometimes probably a bit much but that's how i like it sometimes
thanks for listening
