BTW, there are B2 expansions now in "Perfect Storm" bundle included. Do I get them now (afterwards) also? I bought / upgraded to B2 with PS bundle 1 year ago - as B2 came available.

Any chance?

EDIT:
Just to mention... I installed the latest Aether updates, now the Integrity and Creativity preset pack setup doesn't find the installation -_-
Is there a chance to unpack the installer in another way to copy the presets myself to the correct directory?

First, regarding this... the preset folder structure has changed to enable the changes to the Preset Browser to support this construct we call "packages". A package can be a factory folder, or an expansion pack, or the User folder for example. this stuff is explained in more detail somewhere back in the thread... and I will document it properly in updated manuals...

...so...

Preset expansions now need new installers. Or rather, no longer use installers. Instead we use the "import package" command form the File menu in the plug-ins themselves. There is similar command for Sub-folders too. A sub-folder for example would be useful if someone on KVR said "hey dudes, I just made 10 killer presets for Drums, check 'em out." You could upload that here. People download, unzip, and select "Import SubFolder" to User. Quick way to share a small collection of a single folder of presets. You don't have the quit the host, you don't have to reload the plug, etc etc. Happens very fast. No disruption to your flow! You can do this for a single preset also that goes to /User/My Presets/.

So the same goes for preset expansions. Preset expansions are just a form of "package". It consists of the root folder level which is the same of the package, it's sub-folders, and presets in these sub-folders. It's meant to be used for a large collection of presets such as the ones we offer commercially.

So to install Preset Expansions, you just use "Import Package".

...ergo... (aside: I like saying that... it makes me feel smart... or maybe I just had too much coffee and think I am more clever than I really am... hmmm... not sure... :D :D )

Preset Expansions need new (anti)Installers as it were... The old installers do not work in 1.6.0.

So if the goal is simply to re-obtain the Aether Creativity and Integrity Expansions, without adding anything else then go here:

and use this coupon code at checkout:

geezus, I have a serious proclivity for verbosity, don't I? I should have just said that at the start... :D Maybe I should stop drinking coffee (again)... :D

Okay, thanks for that!

Now please come back to my question regarding B2 expansions / Perfect Storm bundle ;)

...now back to this...

the recommended path in your case, being a Perfect Storm customer, is to simply go this route:

http://www.galbanum.com/shop/product_in ... cts_id=107

Perfect Storm 2.0 -> 2.5 upgrade.

It's a $49.95 upgrade fee, gives you 4 new B2 preset expansions, 2 new Aether Preset Expansions, the 2 original Aether expansions, and all three product updates. All in one download.

The fifty bucks gets you over 1,200 awesome new presets... for B2 and Aether... (which would otherwise cost up to $150). We don't force it on you, but we think it's a really great option...

or more thoroughly explained, from the Aether thread:
We will email official announcements tomorrow night most likely. But here is the basic info:

There are four new Preset Expansions for B2. They are each $24.95, or $69.95 for all four purchased at the same time. Each one has over 200 new presets. > 800 new presets in total. New customers can pick up B2 and all B2 expansions for $299.95 in one purchase.

There are also two new Aether Expansions, for a total of 4 Aether expansions now. They are the same price and have the same option to purchase together with Aether.

The Perfect Storm bundle has been upgraded also to version 2.5. All new preset expansions will be added to it. So new customers can obtain, Aether, B2, Breeze and all 8 presets expansions for $499.95. This is an incredible value IMHO...

Existing Perfect Storm customers can add all 6 new preset expansions for $49.95.

The two new Aether expansions are an evolution and final revision of the presets Den has made over the years for Aether. Profits from these will be shared with Den to reward him for his vast efforts on these. Many people here and on GS suggested he be compensated for all his work on these, so we are listening to that advice. His latest revisions of these has been optimized to use the new per-preset and OS and Mod options as well as one final pass of adjustments and refinements. They are truly an outstanding addition to Aether.

Here's the upgrade info for Perfect Storm (or equivalent) customers to get all 6 new preset expansions for $49.95:

http://www.galbanum.com/shop/product_in ... cts_id=107

Note that this supplies the installers for all products as well, so you do not need to download them all separately if you are a Perfect Storm (or equivalent) customer. This order is all you need.

(If you don't want the preset expansions, you can simply download the individual product updates at no cost. They are however, highly recommended.)

If you do not own all of these products and wish to upgrade whatever you do have to the full Perfect Storm 2.5 bundle, please email us and let us know what do you have and we will handle this on a case-by-case basis. It is our opinion that all customers should eventually be Perfect Storm customers and we are happy to help you get there.

I think this covers all possible tangents and trajectories of customer needs? Man it is like playing 3D chess updating three products, plus new expansions, plus bundles, etc. etc. all at once. :D If I missed something, just let me know...

I feel forced... so I did... :D
Seriously, your reverbs are the only ones I'm using since... well... I bought Aether and then the upgrades. Best reverb ever, so... feel supported! :)

Meh, now I have to check out all the new presets... my weekend is gone now! :D

Thanks Andrew

Seriously loving this reverb, it's so versatile and has a real lushness that I've been looking for.

I didn't want to be presumptuous, but kind of anticipated 2CAudio would take care of existing customers with a special offer like they always have in the past. Thanks Andrew!!!! :)

Very excited to be getting these updates and presets. 2CAudio still holds first place as my favorite reverbs.

FYI, I just updated to the final plug-ins of B2 and Aether on mac, and the plug-ins still show up as folders rather than single plug-in files. No other plug-ins do this. Thought you'd want to since you said you expected them to be regular files again at release.

cheers

I don't see this on my machine, and we have things in the installer that should assure that the vst plug-in is shown as a package.

What happens if you delete the VST shell and rerun the installer? Same thing?

anyway, this has zero effect on performance or stability or anything. It is only cosmetic for a folder that most people will never look at.

Yeah I already deleted them from the plug-in folder before installing.

strange. maybe you are not admin, or for some reason the script can not change them to packages? permissions gremlins... anyway, it does not harm anything as I mentioned...
