So pumped, my copy of Samplitude just came in the mail, just finished installing and registering! Time to check out some of the stuff I forgot to check during the demo period.
Many thanks to JRRShop, really happy with this purchase.

So, DID you wrote an e-mail to the Magix guys about implementing VST3? I'm curious what they had to say about it.. cheers!Skorpius wrote:You guys shouldn't just wait for Samplitude to implement those wanted features: Write one or several emails to their support, telling them how much you like ProX and would buy as soon as those features are included. Their support is always very helpful and fast: I've written a number of emails in the past few months reporting smaller bugs in ProX. In most cases, those bugs were fixed with the next patch.
Magix is a company that actually listens to what their customers desire. The more people ask for a MAC version and VST3 support, the earlier it's going to be implemented.
I'll also ask for VST3 support in one of my next emails. I work with both Cubase and ProX and find it pretty annoying that you can't use VST3 presets from Cubase in ProX.
But I'm positive this is just a matter of time. Samplitude is getting better and better with each patch, update, and new version.

It will happen but probably not until the Pro X2 release later next year. Although that's just my estimate. So, DID you wrote an e-mail to the Magix guys about implementing VST3? I'm curious what they had to say about it.. cheers!

For the Blocks in Reason it more interesting if you do a project construction. For revolver track the problem is that is for the track and you cannot make a project revolver or use only some parts of the track as you would do with Blocks. But with blocks you have a limited range to work with with borders.
I like better the object concept in Samp than the blocks because you can adjust inside each object. Samplitude should have a revolver range that would be also complete the Blocks concept of Reason.
That's how I see the Blocks and objects concept but the objects give you more power for editing.

No problem, kraznet. But between the lines we might read: there's something on its way. Looking forward.

I liked the patch that just came out, the big thing for me is the improvements made to YT Indy. It's encouraging to see Magix putting time into Indy. Indy now has it's own version of Vandal in it.

Talking about Independence Pro.
1. The GUI is too freaking small, and it is very annoying to try to read any of the text on the GUI.
2. Some of the patches that use the ORIGAMI Convolution Reverb are total CPU hogs. I'm not sure if I'm the only one with this issue, but any preset in Independence Pro that uses ORIGAMI melts my CPU.
Hopefully these will be sorted out soon by Magix.
Any feedback on this will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Muziksculp

is that after the patch? I never had issues before but tbh I never look to see how much cpu I am using, the only time I take note is when I get a LAB or some other warning but that has not happened on Pro X for me at all...I upgraded to Pro X after upgrading my machine to a pretty beefy machine.
I'll put in a mental note for later to check it out

Hi,
I'm not sure how ORIGAMI patches are structured. I don't even know if ORIGAMI is still an available product at Magix.
All I know, is when I load a patch that has ORIGAMI in its name, i.e. Acoustic Guitar Origami, I get CPU overloads. The same Acoustic Guitar is also listed without ORIGAMI in the name, when loaded I have no CPU issues.
So, something is buggy with these ORIGAMI patches.
Any feedback from Magix would be helpful too.
Thanks,
Muziksculp

Well I can give some information now and for any prospective Samplitude Mac users it's not good. MAGIX have decided to discontinue the Mac project and concentrate on the PC platform. Here's the official announcement :MountainKing wrote:Any news on the upcoming mac release? Would be highly appreciated.
RegardsDear Samplitude Users,
Due to our planned product strategy and changes in the market environment, we have decided to discontinue the development of the Samplitude Mac version.
We are aware that this decision will certainly inconvenience our customers who have been anxiously awaiting the Mac version and for this we apologize. Your patience and understanding with regard to this new strategic direction is greatly appreciated.
We will of course continue to offer the best possible support with new functions and products while we focus on our core specialization in developing audio production software for the PC platform. This means that we will be dedicating our efforts mainly to the development of Samplitude Pro X2, Sequoia Broadcast and other interesting new applications.
We hope that our efforts in delivering top-quality products will lead to the continued satisfaction and loyalty of our customer base.
We thank you again for your patience and understanding.
With best regards,
Your MAGIX Pro Audio Product Management Team
Kraznet
