I really have no idea what's planned in that area in the long run.
ATM it's simply mails to support in which I describe my experiences, bugs and problems I find and things that I think could or should be improved.

I don't think (and hope) they go for feature bloat - hopefully they keep up their vision of what BWS should be rather than making it a democratic system trying to run in every direction at once and please everybody ;-)
That usually fails.

Cheers,

Tom

No. They can be straight or curved (click on a connecting line with ALT and bend it up or down) but no more fancy than that ATM.

I like Hourglass a lot in that it has a huge list of procedural curve functions of all kinds:

Maybe over time we can convince the Bitwiggians to implement a list like this:

Or at least the more interesting options there...

Someone said a while back that beta would end Nov 1st. Has that held true?
Did they make you give back the toys?

Hehehe - No.
Each Betaversion has an expiration date as is usual for betas to prevent users work with old versions and report already fixed bugs. The previous one had it's ending date at Nov 1, but was replaced a while before that with the latest version. See some pages back for the latest changes.

Everything else was reading in tea-leaves, really ;-)

They have until Decemnber 31, 11:59 pm to meet their target of 'this year'.

If it doesn't happen by 12/31/13 11:59:59 PM, Hibidy will open the cat cages and there will be anarchy. :)

In the interim, at least we have Thomas reporting. ;)

Hehehe - my pleasure. :-)

I actually miss the cats. Can't wait for Santa Claus Cats and the like ;-)

BTW. I'm currently diving into the automation - pretty deep stuff, you can have absolute, additive and multiplicative automation curves. I'll report some more when I fully grokked it ...

Thomas, If you don't get a BWS license for all of the testing and Q/A you've done, I'll be writing unhappy mail(s) to the Bitwigs... :hihi:

Thank you for all of the information shared!!

Now you've gone and done it.:( :hihi: I fully expect to see that phrase pop up on various FR boards shortly...
Why can't Cubase do multiplicative automation curves? It's almost 2014 for god's sake.

I hear that he is herding the cats now ... but you all know how difficult that can be.

Hahaha - well, that would be nice, but I let the Bitwiggians decide about that. Some companies give NFRs to testers, some full packages, others don't. I'm fine with any of these.

I somehow enjoy testing for friendly companies a lot and often get inspired by it, so when I have time (as I have ATM) and it's part of what I would do anyway, I don't feel as if I need to get compensated. If some of my ideas make it into the product, I'm happy enough.

As for the Q/A - I enjoy that too, as long as it happens in a friendly conversational way and not in demand- or machinegun-mode or with an aggressive undertone. I don't work for Bitwig and I'm just another guy, so if questions raise my own curiosity or make sense to me, I enjoy answering, sometimes I learn new things or find new ways of doing stuff from what people ask.

So please don't bother the BW team because of me ;-)

Tom
