I'd like to know something.

What is the best VSTi or SoundFont that I can use for bari sax? I ask because I have a bunch of SoundFonts that have a baritone sax preset in them but it sounds more digitized, or kind of like a PVC saxophone. In terms of VSTi's I have SaxLab, which is pretty good, but I've only found the Bass saxophone sounds to be the best. However the bari almost doesn't sound real. I've tried using Mr. Sax B, (as well as Mr. Sax A and Mr. Sax T) only to find out that the instrument doesn't sound unless I have a lot of extra equipment that I don't have the time or the money to buy.

Any words? I know others have had questions about this. All I want is a VSTi or a SoundFont that sounds like an actual bari sax. I don't want to keep using cheap, digitized (or plastic-sounding) sounds.

Not cheap, but Garritan's Jazz & Big Band is pretty good.
Even better if you use a windsynth (I use a Yamaha wx-5)
The bari is pretty realistic.

Thanks, @timobrien. I tried it but it didn't really work. I use a program called SynthFont for editing MIDIs and I tried using it there and it didn't work. :-( However it worked in Mixcraft, which seems weird to me. I mean the keyboard part worked if I clicked VST Prog, but the instrument didn't sound when playing by itself.

And @lionscub68, I already have Saxlab. I'll keep using that. I don't mind.
Thank you though! :-)

Hmmm 'trying it out' meaning you just 'picked it up' somewhere??? :-)

If you had and read the documentation, JABB uses the mod wheel to trigger the attacks on the notes and just playing them 'plain' on the keyboard will often get you nothing. That's why I prefer to use a windsyth which sends CC's to trigger the notes and it's much more realistic too.
