I think I'll hide behind the big rock over there

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

Regarding no Mac version of Samplitude Pro X , well... There is no PC version of LPX either
So I don't see any issue there. If you want to run Samplitude, you need a PC or Bootcamp your Mac !
Aloha,

I found the user interface of Samplitude to be unintuitive. It gave me constant headaches. I moved to Studio One which is very simple in comparison.crashedthecar wrote:Or anyone else who bought it recently

I get the constant head ache when learning any daw
How much time did you try it for frantz?
I've only been trying the demo for 2 days. I understand what you mean by unintuitive but I get that with every daw especially dp and sonar

I just bought it about a week ago after trying the demo for a week or two and finding a good crossgrade offer. I can't really speak to specific features per se, as I am still learning it. But for reference I literally own about every host out there - excluding high $$ like Nuendo and Sequoia. I have Sonar, Cubase, Reaper, Studio One, Cantabile, eXT, MuLab, and so on. So what I can say is despite having all these hosts and liking specific things about them I still felt Samplitude would bring something to the table and could possibly become one of my primaries.
So far it seems rock solid, feels very lightweight and responsive, and seems to be designed in a very integrated, object oriented way. By which I mean that it seems like everything is just happening all the time, and you are choosing which way to interact or visualize. As opposed to a bunch of disjointed stuff that is possible, but all bolted on under the hood. Just my early impressions, feel free to ridicule or disregard.
edit: Also, I am not a "this host and this host only" (until the next switch) kind of person. I believe in having tools in my toolbox, and in having multiple hosts. I won't "switch" to Samplitude, but if I were to go to one, it seems like a candidate.

I bought Samplitude and completed several songs in it. I used it enough to know it wasn't for me.crashedthecar wrote:I get the constant head ache when learning any daw

I guess it's the plethora of options, it's the usual discomfort you feel when learning a new daw.Kraznet wrote:What in particular is causing you not to click with VSTi's in Samplitude?crashedthecar wrote:Ok every thing is clicking except using vstis

I managed to record with an instance of kontakt but whenI tried doing a multi out I end up ticking something wrong.
I watched pretty much all of your vids but I don't know if I can add effects and automation to a midi track at object level
Awesome vids kraznet, you're like yoda of samp
Cheers
