Ah, I see.
Everybody, who disagrees with Mr.Tolerant, is a hater.

Just for your information:
I love and watch ESC every year. It's tradition.

This does not mean, that I can't critizise or make fun of stuff in this show.
Infact discussing this stuff is one of the main fun-points of this show.

So, what should I do? Growing a beard and dress like a girl?

same for you as for tricky: you want that we have to respect your repudiation against someone who (like we promised btw) won the esc. you try to cover it into a debate about freedom of speech. you dont investigate and you obviously know nothing about this guy but still you coming here to tell us what a scum he is. :dog:
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

I didn't call him "scum". It's just not right that someone wins just because of his/her appearance. The music should matter.

I said the same thing about Lena 2 years ago, and she doesn't have a beard. She won because of her appearance, not because her song "Satellite" was so great...

You are the only one here, who tries to turn this into a debate of "tolerance", "sexism", "freedom of speech" and whatnot.
I just stated my opinion and made some fun of someone (like by the way even some people in the show did).

You are that arrogant and intolerant person, who can't accept other peoples opinion and tries to put words in their mouth.

I am done with you and this conversation.

If only the show and the appearance - the crazier, the better - count, they should call it "Show & Appearance Contest" but not "SONG Contest"!

@Nokenuku, murnau

Stop the fight, folks.

I think there's some misunderstanding on every side growing to trouble nobody wants to happen at all. ;)

but you know you never really learn much from hearing yourself speak. 8)

So, umm, all the aspects outside of the music set aside, what's the music genre of that winner? I never hear that kind of stuff on the radio (not that I listen to radio much). Is it just ESC?

I didn't watch the contest, but I did like Iceland and Armenia, when I checked those earlier.

You should enter it next year Tricky. Mousehead and baseball cap. Write a fun tune and you can't lose. ;)

i found the poland show way crazier then austrias contribution. also it's only your own assumption that the crazier the better count. btw you mention winner Lena: what was so crazy about her perfomance two years ago? a young girl with a dark dress singing. wow..

What makes Poland's entry any different from Austria's? Both tried to win by putting sexuality on the frontcover, always a tacky technique. The other one failed.

Only if I'm dressed like a girl... When was the last time a male (music) band did win? :help:

Post

I didn't get the impression Wurst won because of his risqué looks... the austrian and the dutch song were the two classiest entries by a long shot, which was reflected by the vote imo.
