Reaktor. It's already installed. Why do I need to install something else?

I have Razor, and a load of fine ensembles, what are your first Reaktor choices
for the 4 categories I mentioned?

If I could just have these as Native Linux VST s and not have to use WINE . I'd totally switch ..... Tracktion5 is on Linux now . Also Bitwig ..Build it build it build it .... ... If Reason Recycle Re:s and all that Prop stuff came out for Linux I buy it and learn to use Reason . Same for Ableton Live Suite 9 ...... Those have so much without having to go 3rd party VST .

I'm, not advocating anyone switch, just posting so future google searches, by people needing excellent free alternatives, might run across this discussion, and try yoshimi, rakarrack, hydrogen, guitarix2, Hexter, AMsynth, Whysynth, calf-plugins, Disthro ports,
Invada plugins, and the various audio production distros.

I don't recall any falling out

If there are disagreements over mountains
or minutia, it's still musicians at a friendly forum

Sorry man, I hate favorites lists, and it's off topic. The point was that I have far more tools than I need, what compelling reason do I have to try lesser tools on linux?

Dude, chillax with the Linux DAW stuff. I love Linux Mint but Linux is clearly not ready for serious audio production yet.

Comparing quality is exactly on topic, so a short list of the best 4 Reaktor apps
that fit the 4 categories, please, so other potential Reaktor customers, and
linux users of Reaktor, like me, can enjoy such functionality.

That's your crusade man, not mine. Like I said, I don't like favorites lists. It's really quite simple, what tool is on linux that is like Reaktor? I know of Pd, I use it, I like it for a number of reasons, but it can't compete with Reaktor in a lot of ways because the vast array of usable tools isn't there. Reaktor doesn't provide the best tools for every job, it's just so damn flexible that it's often my goto tool because I can easily adapt things. It's a software deal breaker for me.

So, is there an open source Reaktor for linux that I don't know about? I'd love to hear about it if there is.
