I was buying it sight unseen at 50 bux. Now that 50 is going to be redirected to Serum. I did a double take when i saw the $75 price then just shook my head.

Actually standard Voucher terms that have been in place forever. I'm surprised people are bitching about false advertising as Waves has always made these terms known when giving away vouchers.[/quote]

Because it was clearly advertised as a 50 DOLLAR voucher by Everything Audio, not 50%

This is the offer I got earlier today sent to me by Waves Audio, I call this false advertising, it will only hurt Waves in the end:

Put enough products in the cart and you'll get $50 off. No false advertising. Or did I miss the "$50 off without further conditions" part?

Yeah, put everything in when 99% only interested in one product atm: Codex.

$50 voucher has a different meaning than 25% discount up to $50 voucher in my book.

It is not stated up front how much you need to spend to get to use that voucher in full. I reckon you need to spend over 200 dollars to get to use that voucher in full.

I'm with a few others here. I really only need one wavetable synth and at $49, Codex would probably have got the nod, but with the bad taste left in my mouth from this "$50 Voucher" I'm prepared to shell out a bit more and get what appears to be the better tool in Serum.

OK, so Waves should absolutely pay me $1 if I buy the Scheps 73 (currently on sale for $49). Time for a class action lawsuit.

What Waves need to do is to give away their codes with the terms stated clearly up front, and not do some kind of phising deal, in that one has to sit through a 1 hour video first.

No, they could easily build in that you can't use a $50 voucher for orders under $50 (thats how it is usually).

Go on their website and leave a complaint to the sales team - like I did. If they state $50 voucher up front, it shouldn't be bait-and-switch and read the fine print. Very dishonest and misleading.
