I disagree. Some companies love to assert absolute control by way of total silence. If they're buying Camel for the technology and not the company then they might just want the original brand to die and be forgotten.
But that's what I exactly said. If they were bought out by Apple then their name will disappear completely, their products would be completely dissolved and the tech will be completely re-branded as an Apple invention. Apple would also not give a flying F about any of CA's former customers, of whom majority are probably on PC anyway, no doubt.

If any of their products would continue in any form similar to present then it would have been handled completely differently.

That's sad indeed but also it's part of a business life. I think that whatever CA's owner(s) decided it was for the best of their interests. Customers' interest should be a priority but not a dogma to follow.

Whoever, whatever happened to the camel, it wouldnt make sense that so much high end work would just get binned, would it?
It makes sense that it would have to end up somewhere, in some form, or its a HUGE waste by whatever entity is now in control of the group.
Yeah? No?

I bet they had a falling out at the xmas party.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

So far, as speculation goes, that's my favourite one... :hihi:
It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

After watching this Omnisphere2 presentation video,
I think Camels are bought by Spectrasonics...

Then why would the omnishear leave out some of the best parts of CA technology? And two weeks isn't enough time to integrate even the camelbell samples, never mind the resynthesis stuff.

As others and I have said, repeatedly and often, it's the cuppertino cabal or it's nothing* at all.

* Actually means "something," but is used when you don't feel like explaining.
Hey, whatcha doin'?
(clearly working on something complex and important) Nothing.

Alchemy turns omnisphere to omnisphere2 :)

Daha! So the Universe CAN clearly come from "nothing" - brilliant mandolarian! BRILLIANT!

I knew it was something like that... or I mean nothing like that... I mean... Crap there's that version of me from the future again, I'd better go see what he wants. Just because his last set of instructions were wrong doesn't mean he was, it just means I split my awareness into a different parallel universe.

One thing I'm glad of. Omnisphere still exists in this timeline.

Guys I must apologise, I have a genuine CA question. Completely out of line I know

Why can't I find any Alchemy sound bank demos on YouTube?

How does one decide which sound banks they want without hearing them?
"I was wondering if you'd like to try Magic Mushrooms"
"Oooh I dont know. Sounds a bit scary"
"It's not scary. You just lose a sense of who you are and all that sh!t"

Try this search first:

Best to search for the exact library you want to hear. Sometimes you only get to hear some guy talking about the sound bank you want to hear.

But, that's just for the factory patches. Many of the best, imo, come from 3rd parties, like Simon's:

Check out his entire collection here

Aqualignum is awesome. As is FrameDrum, Metalurgy, Alchemistry and Alchemistry Beyond and MetaVox...Actually, they're all almost must haves.

So sad that Simon won't be creating new libs for Alchemy. Or what wondrous wavey wonders would be heard in Alchemy 2.

Now I'm really sad.
