Hi all,

I'm making some fancy kicks in Curve 2 (for some reason I've not the 2.5 version, since some buttons in the bottom are vanished).
So, I've made this LFO, and I'm modulating the Pitch:

so stable (Pitch 12) for the first 1/8, than drop down for the last 1/8.

But having LFO Level 1:00 and Mod X Pitch OSC 1 100%, it can drop down max at -12 semitones? What if I want (since I'm making kicks) -48 semitones or more?

Can I do it? Can I increase the range?

Yes, Curve is great for Kick drums.. we once had a contest for Kicks only, long before everyone was publishing Kick drum synths. Curve's envelopes are pretty flexible for this.

If you start the LFO at the top and go to the bottom, you have 2 octaves (24 semitones). If you then use the same waveform in both LFO 1 and LFO 2 and assign both to pitch, you can do 4 octaves (48 semitones).

What might also be interesting, is if you only modulate pitch of OSC 1, and use OSC 2 or OSC 3 unmodulated for the sub bass - maybe with an envelope routed to volume of OSC 2 to further shape it.

We have quite some kick drums in Curve's library which can also provide good starting points.

Oh nice, I see! The only trouble is:

if I have 1 LFO for volume and 2 for Pitch, I left with only 1 LFO. So if I'd like to modulate both CUT and RES on filter, I can't.
Or I should really use Curve 2.5 and use EG 1 and 2 (which contains Randomize points; on 2.0 I can't).
